"We're moving to Campbelltown."
The words echo through my mind. I hate Campbelltown, what makes her think I would move there?
"You're joking." I say.
"I'm sorry Rachel I just-"
"I am not moving to Campbelltown!" I shout.
"I can't afford the house we have now, and my job is in Campbelltown, it'll be so much easier. Please understand." she pleads. I sigh deeply.
"Will I get to visit my friends?" I ask hesitantly.
"Yes, every school holidays." she replies.
"Fine. But you know how hard it is for me to find new friends." I sigh.
"I know, but you got into Campbelltown Performing Arts High School. I've been told that everyone there is nice and welcoming." She grins.
I sigh.
Thanks Rachel," she hugs me. "and everyone will love you. Don't worry."
