I followed Chaleen out of the living room

I followed Chaleen out of the living room. I heard the TV turn on, so Phil obviously didn't care about what we were going to talk about.

Since I knew what we were going to talk about, I was glad he didn't care.

"I know I say this every time, so I'm going to make it short," She said.

I know exactly what she's going to say, and I honestly can't remember the last time she didn't tell me this.

I rolled my eyes. "Okay, let's hear it."

"You and Phil would look so cute together!" She exclaimed.

I scrunched up my nose. "I don't like the word cute."

"Okay..." She tried again. "You and Phil would look great together!"

I shrugged. "Eh, I guess that's better."

She laughed. "Well, that's all. Like I said, it was shorter this time."

"You were right." I nodded. "I'm beginning to wish I'd gone to Luke's house..."

"You know you love me," Chaleen said, and we started walking back to the living room.

"I wouldn't say love," I said. "More like tolerate."

"Come here and give me a hug," She said, spreading her arms out.

"No!" I practically yelled. I began running away.

"Come on! Please?"

"No!" I repeated. When I ran into the living room, Phil stood up. He was confused. I looked at him. "Make your sister stop!"

He looked at Chaleen. "What are you doing?"

"I just want to hug her!"

He looked back at me. "Why don't you want to hug her?"

"I don't like hugs." I crossed my arms.

"You hugged her right when we got to the airport!" He pointed out.

"I was just being polite," I said.

"You ran up to her."

"I was...hyper?" I was running out of excuses.

"You slept the whole flight!"

"What's with this family and hugs?" I asked.

"Come on, you love hugs." Phil rolled his eyes.

I shook my head. "No, I don't."

Instead of replying, he walked up to me and hugged me. Then, before I could move, Chaleen hugged me, too.

I glared at Phil. "You did that on purpose."

He just smirked. "I don't know what you mean, Lisa."
