Legolas's POV:
I gently knocked on Tauriel's door.
"Come in!" she calls.
"Tauriel. Why did you run?" I demand.
She refuses to look at me.
"Tauriel! Look at me!" I grab her chin, force it upwards to face me.
"Who? Who do you love?" she whispers.
Tauriel's POV:
"I.." he stares at me, then blushes beet red.
"Um..." he turns away.
"You," he says it very quickly.
Legolas's POV:
What? What had I just said? Had I ruined my friendship with her? Unable to face the consequences, I turn and run blindly away, out the door, into the forest.
I hoist myself onto a tree and bury my face in my hands, my heart sinking into my stomach. Suddenly, a thought occurred to me. Who does she love?
Tauriel's POV:
He loves..ME?! Why? I love him, but what will King Thranduil say? Oh, no. What if he has my head for this?
I stumble out onto my balcony. I stare out at the beautiful forest, trying to calm my thoughts. I see a flash of silver-blonde.
Legolas! I see him jump from tree to tree until he reaches the edge of the forest and approaches the gate. Despite his confession, I leave to go find him.
