Ayy'Verynn's POV
It was a week before my due date and still no baby. I was still working against my husband's wishes of course.
"Hi mommy." Meredith said rubbing my stomach.
"What are you doing here?" I asked taking baby bailey out her arms.
"Just came to check on everything." She said.
"Can I take him?" I asked.
"Of course your going to need the practice." She said giving me the baby carrier.
"Hello baby boy." I cooed.
"Did you go and have our baby?" Jackson said coming up behind me.
"No but can't we just steal this one until ours comes.?"I asked.
"I would say yes but I honestly don't think they would mind. "He said.
"Yeah I'm going to want to return him once he's hungry?" I said.
"You can take him on rounds if you want I have to go check on Richard anyways." Meredith said.
"Alright let's go baby Bailey." I said.

"Hello Mrs. Mathews how are you feeling today?" I said looking at her vitals.
"I'm doing good. I know that isn't you baby?" She asked.
"No its my sister in laws you met her Dr. Grey." I said.
"Yes I did he is beautiful. How long till yours is here.?" She asked.
"Any day now. My due date is in a week."I said.
"Well baby Jamie Ayy'Verynn Mathews is doing just fine. I went see her earlier." She said.
"I still say you didn't have to name her after me Kayla." I said.
"Are you kidding me. I went into labor in a car with a placental hemorrhage. You saved my life." She said.
"Well it looks like your insision site has healed so you will be able to go home today."I said.
"That's great." She said.
"Yes it- mhhhmmm." I said.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah just Braxton hicks contractions." I said.
"It won't be long now." She said.
"I know. I can't wait." I said.
"I wish you luck Dr. Avery. " she said.
"Thank you." I said smiling.
