Soccer Games and Heartbreak

Olivia's POV

I'm about to start a movie when I hear a loud knock at the door.

I walk to the door and look through the peephole. It's Elliot. What is he doing here?

"Hey El..." I say opening the door, "What's up?"

"Could I crash here?" He asks, looking weary, "Kathy kicked me out, I can get a hotel in the morning..."

"No El, it's okay, you can stay here till you figure out what's going on..." I say, stepping out of the way to let him in.

He looks me up and down and I'm suddenly very aware of what I'm wearing. A barely there tank top and very short pajama shorts aren't exactly ideal when you have company.

"I'll go change..." I say softly, "Grab a beer if you want."

"Liv it's your house, you don't have to change..." He says.

"Okay well I just put in a movie, you wanna watch?" I ask, settling in the couch again.

"Sure..." He says coming back with two beers.

"Thanks." I say softly.

"You still have the t-shirt and boxers I left last time?" He asks.

"Yeah, in the hall closet." I say pointing to the back of the house.

"I'll be right back." He says.

He comes back and sits next to me, taking a long swig of his beer.

"El are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine Liv." He says quietly. "I've known it was over for a long time, but this time she handed me divorce papers and told me to leave before my kids saw me."

"I'm so sorry El." I say quietly. "What're you gunna do, about the papers I mean."

"I signed them." He says simply.

"Oh..." I say, picking at the label on my beer bottle.

"Liv it's okay, I'm not upset about it or mad at anyone..." He says, "Let's just watch the movie okay?"

Yeah, okay." I say, giving him a soft smile.

"So what're we watching?" He asks.

"It's called 'Made of Honor'." I say pulling a blanket around us.

"Like a wedding movie?" He asks skeptically.

"Patrick Dempsey in it..." I say smiling, "He's really good looking."

"You mean Dr. McDreamy?" He asks with a laugh.

"How do you know about Dr. McDreamy?" I ask laughing.

"Maureen makes me watch it with her." He says, "I know all about Meredith and Dr. McDreamy."

"I wouldn't have pegged you as a Grey's Anatomy fan..." I say.

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me, babe." He says laughing.

"Babe?" I ask, looking up at him.

"I-I..." He says stuttering.

"Relax El..." I say laughing at him, "I'm just teasing."

I get up to get popcorn and I feel Elliot staring at me.

"Are you staring Stabler?" I ask laughing. 

He looks really awkward and then asks, "So what's this movie about?"
