Alice's POV

NO!

No...

No.

No.

No!

It can't be...

Mommy's not dead!

Tumatakbo ako papalayo ng bahay. I just want to have some space right now. The sudden news about my mom really... just broke me into pieces. I want to escape from this nightmare!

When I finally arrived at my destination, narinig ko ang pagpatak ng ulan.

I didn't noticed that it was already raining. I didn't care if I get all soaked and wet in the rain. All I really care about is my mommy!

I want her back!

Raindrops streaming down from my head to my now wet dress as I swing slowly in the park. My feet playing in the mud not even caring if my white shoes gets all dirty. I looked at the sky and saw huge gray clouds swifting slowly... It was as if mimicking my mood right now.

I cried silently as I keep on looking up. Rain drops streaming down the surface of my face as I feel it hit on it. Isa isa itong pumapatak sa aking mukha, tinatago ang mga luhang pinapalabas ko sa aking mga namumugtong mata.

Mom? Why?

Why did you leave me?

I thought you love me...

You promised!

I screamed at the top my lungs

But actually I'm just whispering... I'm whispering...

I can't even let out a single word from my mouth right now. Parang nawawalan ako ng boses... I feel empty.

No strength to even speak.

I stare absently at the ground. My feet moving up and down on the mud while I swing slowly.

Nanatili ako sa aking posisyon while thinking of flashbacks of me and mom. Those times... the times na buo pa ang aming pamilya.

Times na naglalaro kami, family bondings, summer breaks, etc.

"Alice, you have to be a brave kid okay?"

"But mom don't leave me here! I don't know anyone besides you.", pagmamakaawa ko sa kanya habang naiiyak.

Umupo naman siya para magkapantay kami and I heard her let out a chuckle.

"Okay. Babantayan kita sa labas. Just think of me being beside you inside. I'll always watch you from there." ,sabi niya habang tinuturo ang labas ng classroom.

"Promise?"

"Promise." ,she said as she gave me a reassuring smile on the face.

I smiled weakly as I remembered each tiny bit of my memories with her.

.

.

.

"Alice!"

Mom?!

My thoughts vanished as I heard someone calling for my name.
