{Regina's POV}

Days. It's been days. It's been days and nothing has happened nor have we been able to figure something out. We've run into dead ends. Emma and the Charmings have been trying to help Elsa return to wherever she came from. With them helping her, it's allowed me to focus on the free ice sculpture delivered to my vault. I've slept, breathed, and eaten nothing but words and words from every spell book in this vault. My only human contact has been Henry when he comes to bring me something to eat or when he tells me to call it a day. But I can't. I can't rest knowing this woman's last hope is me. I can't rest until I have her playing with her son again. The loss of a parent is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone, not even my worse enemies.

And then there's my suppose-to-be dead sister. I haven't heard or seen anything new about her. In a town that gossips as much as this does, she wouldn't get around without someone spotting her. That only leaves one of two options. One, she could be hiding out somewhere. Or two, she could be using magic to disguise herself. We all know she is powerful enough to do such a thing.

Then again, I've been locked up in this vault for the past few days. The only light that comes in is from the double glass door when the wooden outside door is open. There are times when Henry closes both doors and I can't tell if it is night or day. I can't tell until I get a call or text from Henry to get some rest. I lie to him and say I will. There are times when I actually do get some sleep and there are days when I continue working until I fall asleep with a book on my face. Do I feel bad about lying to him sometimes? Of course I do. He's my son. Do I feel bad about not spending much time with him after just getting him back? More than anything. But he understands this is important. After everything is said and done, I promised to myself I would spend as much time with him as possible.

"Regina!" a voice distracts me from the spell book I'm reading.

"Regina open up! I know you're there!" the undoubtedly recognizable voice says with banging on the door.

Sighing, I resign to the known fact that a dog outside will only leave after being ignored. Sadly, it's a Charming instead of a dog. I set my book down beside me and get up to open the door. Upon opening the door, I see the blonde woman accompanied by her one handed sidekick.

"To what do I owe this glorious pleasure?" I ask with a sarcastic smirk on my face.

"I talked to Henry," she says. Knowing this could turn into a lecture and I might as well get comfortable, I step out of the way to let them in.

"He said you've been cooped up in here," she paused to look at the stack of book next to the couch, "and from the looks of it, he wasn't kidding."

"Is there a purpose to this visit or is it to encourage me to stay locked in here even longer?" I ask putting my hands on my hips.

"Relax love," the hooked pirate speaks up, "We just wanted to make sure you didn't turn into one of those things in Henry's books."

"They're called zombies which you would know had you decided to catch up with this century," I said motioning to his clothes.

"Alright enough. Regina we just wanted to make sure you were ok and to see if you've made any progress," Emma says standing between us as a mediator.

"If I had do you think I would still be here," I say opening my arms for emphasis.

"Then I guess asking you for help with Elsa's situation would be pointless."

"Well there's one reasonable thing that's come out of your mouth," I say crossing my arms again.
