{Robin's POV}

"What do you mean look after the mayor?" Jake asks with a confused face.

"I mean," I start, "she needs to have someone to protect her."

Still confused, Jake asks, "So what? I'd just be walking around as a bodyguard?"

"Not exactly," I ask scratching the side of my face, "Do you know what cameras are?"

"Luckily I wasn't born yesterday," he says laughing a bit before asking with a confused face, "What does that have to do with anything?"

"The cameras," I say, "can be used to keep an eye on her. You know, have them put in her house in case an intruder comes or something like that."

"You do hear the craziness in all of this right?" Jake says with an amused look on his face.

"Sadly, I do," I say looking down for a spilt second, "I wouldn't be asking if it wasn't important."

"But," Jake starts while playing around with his food, "if it was so important, why aren't you doing it yourself?"

"I can't," I say trying to hide the sadness that came out in my voice, "That's why I need you to."

He puffs up his cheeks before letting out the air. Pop. I know that face. He normally does it when he's either thinking hard about something or trying to hide something. I can normally tell since we basically grew up together. He was basically family to me.

Taking a deep breath, he says, "Ok, I'll do it."

Finally able to relax, I exhale a breath I didn't even know I had. Now, I have someone I can actually trust to look after her. Had he said no, I don't know what my next plan would've been.

"You don't know how much I appreciate this," I say.

"Really, it's nothing," he says taking a bite out of his burger.

"No, this is sort of a big task. You could even be putting yourself in danger if you're not careful. Not to mention the wrath you will encounter if she catches you," I say.

A small smile forms on his mouth that's full of food. He says, "I think I'll be able to handle myself. It's not like I'll be her shadow every second of every minute of every hour. And we both know I am very good at not being spotted," making the both of us to chuckle.

He swallows the food in his mouth, takes a sip out of his drink, and says, "Now onto a more serious question, do you mind telling me what I'll be keeping an eye for?"

Not knowing how to explain the situation, I say, "I'm just passing on what I've been told. Orders from the sheriff. I understand if you back out now without knowing all of the details."

"I owe you a favor from a while back. This is me repaying the favor," Jake says.

I look down with a little laugh and say, "Sorry to say the wrath of the ex-Evil Queen is unmatched by anything we saw when we were in the wars together."

"That was quite an adventure," Jake says trying to keep from spitting the food in his mouth.

"For some reason, the only thing that always comes into my mind is how I would distract the higher ranked soldiers while you would steal some of their edible rations," I say with a smile on my face.

Taking a big gulp to swallow the food, Jake says, "We would then trade turns on who would get to distract the general. I remember us trying to see who could keep them occupied for longest period of time."
