Kayla dragged me into my room and slammed the door. She turned and looked at me with a frown on her face.
"What did you do?" She said crossing her arms.
"Well......" I smiled devilishly.
"Well what?"
"I lost my virginity....." I said in a barely audible voice.
"YOU WHAT?!" She laughed out as she sat next to me on the bed.
"Shhhh. Ryan and I had sex."
"Biiiiiiitch! I'm so happy for you!" She hugged me. "So how was it?"
"It was great! He was really....... big."
"Details."
"Well I don't really know how to describe it. I do know I felt it in my abs. "
She stood up and laughed as loud as she could. "He was all up in them guts!"
I laughed at Kayla as she sat back down on the bed.
"How many times did you guys do it?"
"Twice. Once on my bed and then...." I silenced myself before I could say anymore.
"Ew." She said standing up. "Where was the second place?...."
I looked at her with a guilty smile.
"Nikki......?"
"The kitchen island....." I mumbled
She opened her mouth in shock. "Not the kitchen island!! Nikki! I eat there!"
I laughed as she paced back and forth.
-P.O.V. Ryan
"Soooo big bro... how are things..... going?" Randy asked trying to avoid the topic of me and Nikki.
We made eye contact as I smirked. We burst into a fit of laughter, making my eyes water.
"It wasn't my idea." I laughed out.
"And I suppose she just took advantage of you?" He asked raising an eyebrow.
"The second time, yes." I said with a serious face.
He lowered his head and gave me a puzzled look. After a few seconds of silence we burst into another fit of laughter.
"In all seriousness, Randy I have something I need to talk to you about."
"And that is....?"
"I think I want to mar....." I was cut off by Nikki and Kayla coming from the bedroom.
"But on the island!?" Kayla exclaimed.
"I'm sorry it wasn't planned it just.....happened." Nikki explained.
"Ryan what were you saying?" Randy asked.
I cleared my throat and stood awkwardly. "I was saying that you and I should run out and get something to cook for the girls."
"Alright? Let's go." He got up and we left out of the apartment.
We got into my car and I stared it.
"Randy. I think I want to mar...." I was cut off again as my phone rang. "Hello?...... ok Nikki..... I will....... ok... I love you too." I hung up and looked over at Randy.
"Soooo we're going out to find an engagement ring right? I never thought the day would come! "
I laughed as we sped down the road. "I just want to look, but if I do get one I want to get her something as beautiful as she is. Something she wouldn't want to take off."
"It might be expensive. "
"I can afford it. "
We pulled up to the jewelry store and got out of the car. We went inside and the sales woman greeted us.
"Hi, my name is Rachel, how can I help you today?"
"I'm here to look at engagement rings. "
"Oh perfect! So about how much are you looking to spend here?"
"I don't exactly have a limit." I explained.
"Oh okay. Well, we'll start off with the smaller rings."
"No no. Umm, I'm looking for something.... big and nice..."
"That's fine." She said as she walked toward the bigger diamonds.
She pulled the rings out from the display and moved them to where Randy and I stood. I looked at the rings and back up to her.
"I don't really see anything I would want to give to her."
I looked at Randy as he laughed. We began to move towards the door. We were quickly stopped by Rachel.
"Well we do have one more." She said going into a secluded case behind the counter. She placed a small blue box in front of us. "But it is a little pricey."
"Well I don't have a limit." I said with a smile.
She opened the box and turned it to me. It was one of the most beautiful rings I had ever seen. I knew it would be perfect for Nikki.
"How much?"
"$20,000"
Randy put a hand on my shoulder to get my attention. "Well? Is this the one?" He asked.
" I don't know. I still need to think things through a bit. Would it be possible for you to hang on to it until I'm sure I want to buy it. "
"Sure! I would just need your name and contact information encase someone else who is interested in it comes by." She said beginning to type into the computer.
"Thank you so much." I said pulling out my I.D. and placing it on the table.
"Oh." She said stopping what she was doing. She picked up the card and read the name. "You have got to be kidding me! You're Ryan Lanton?! And you're looking at an engagement ring!?"
I laughed at her enthusiasm. "Yes ma'am I am."
When she realized she was staring at me she cleared her throat and calmed down. "I'm sorry. I've just heard soo much about you. I actually have a few friends that work in your building. They always give me the scoop on what you do." She laughed nervously as she started typing again. "So um if you don't mind me asking...... who's the lucky lady?"
Randy chuckled and walked away answering his ringing phone.
"Well it's someone that works in my building, she's an assistant of mine."
"Wait. Assistant? Did you and her just recently got on a business trip with a Kayla Easton? And would her name happen to be Nikki Blackwel?"
"Yes. How did you know?"
"Those are like my best friends! I can't believe Nikki's getting engaged!"
"Well not yet so don't spill the beans. Acually I'm going to ask to meet her parents soon and, since your so close to her, once I get her father's blessing I would love to have you there when I propose."
"OH MY GOODNESS! OF COURSE I WOULD LOVE TO COME!....... Sorry I was really loud." She laughed.
I picked up my I.D. and put it in my wallet.
"Don't worry about it. I'll be back to give you the information about the party."
"Okay!"
"Thanks for your hel....."
"Ryan we need to go now..." Randy said rushing to my side.
" What is it?"
"It's nikki......."
