They dragged me down into the practice room and I plopped onto the couch. They moved to their places and started playing. I sat there giddy, and realized something. I was here for just days and already I felt like I had a family. And I did. They guys had taken me in after I was thrown out on the street and drunk. They gave me a home and a new life, letting me forget my old one all together. I was going to have to quit my job because missed more than a few days and maybe even school. I mean I hadn't paid for anything it was all scholarships and I wasn't happy with what I was doing. But here, here I was happy.
And I didn't need logic to explain what I felt anymore. I just need to be me and be happy.
I settled in listening and smiling as they played, just for me.
