The music started playing and I couldn't take my eyes off of her. They started together in perfect harmony and I couldn't believe how amazing they sounded. Then they each took a turn for a little solo...I was anticipating Lauren's part because I was anxious to hear her voice. I didn't have to wait long before her turn came...I was so amazed by her low raspy tone that my mouth dropped open for the hundredth time today and I even cried a little because her voice was so beautiful. It all ended to soon for my liking and everyone was on their feat clapping and screaming including me. They all smiled and did a group bow before turning around and moving back from their mile stands. They went and sat in the stools that was provided for them which were facing us.
The announcer started going through the roster and calling everyone's name and number out. When he got to me, Lauren's head jerked up and I stepped out, waved and then stepped back. I looked over to where Fifth Harmony was standing and was met with five pair of eyes looking at me along with Lauren's dropped mouth. A shy smile made its way up to my face as I raised my hand and sent a small wave their way. Apparently, she wasn't expecting to see me either.

Knowing Lauren was here made me play my best and made the game go by ten times faster. I found out where they were sitting and often caught her gaze throughout the game. I'm pretty sure I caught her staring at my ass a few time to which I'm not complaining about. If I do say so myself, my ass looks hella good in these softball pants. I just couldn't wait for the game to be over.
My wish was soon granted when the game ended 7-5 with us defeating the other team. They played a good game and it was definitely a challenge but we were all playing our best after all the running we did yesterday. Once we finished our group hug and congratulations, I made my way to the dug out to put all my stuff up.
"I told you I'd come to one of your games. Just didn't think it would be today. So, Surprised is an understatement."
I turned around to be met with the most gorgeous smile. I immediately smiled when I seen it was her.
"I guess I could say the same for you. Never in a million years did I expect you to be the member of a word wide, multi-platinum girl group."
She let out a small laugh as she moved to sit on the bench beside me where I was currently stowing away all my gear.
"Well I sure didn't expect you to be a member of a professional softball team, a damn good one at that. I thought you meant like city league or a family game or something."
"I guess we're all full of surprises today. Honestly, you have an incredible voice, all of you girls do. But I have to say that yours is by far my favorite."
A small blush made its appearance on her cheeks. "Really?"
I grinned at her, causing her to blush even more. It was cute and adorable.
All of a sudden I got a small shot of confidence and grabbed her hand in mine. She looked a little shocked and slightly confused so I figured I'd better go ahead and say what I want to say.
"Lauren, you're incredibly beautiful on the inside and the out. I've never met someone like you, and I've met a lot of people. I love the way your brain works and how you think. I also love that your passionate about the things you believe in and are willing to defend your friends over anything. I would love to get to know you more so I guess what I'm getting to is...would you, umm, like to go on a date...with me, tomorrow?"
She stared at me all wide eyed and mouth parted. Crap...I knew this was a bad idea. I probably just scared her off and now she want even want to talk to me. A disappointed look fell upon my face once she didn't say anything so I removed my hand from hers and went to zip my bag up. When I went to grab the strap to the bag, she placed her hand on top of mine to stop me, causing me to look at her.
"Yes"
I froze, did she really just say yes? But I thought...I must've looked confused because the huge smile on her face only got bigger as she seen me thinking.
"Yes! I would love to go on a date with you tomorrow. Sorry if I scared you, I was just so surprised. I wasn't expecting you to ask, I didn't even know you liked me like that."
After processing her words, a small grin made its way to my face and kept getting bigger till I was full on smiling. I couldn't believe she actually wanted to go on a date with me.
"You had me scared there for a minute. So I'll pick you up at say, seven tomorrow night?"
"Seven is perfect, I'll text you my address later tonight. But right now I have to go catch up with the rest of the girls. So I'll see you tomorrow."
With that, she gave me a hug and started to walk off. I couldn't knock the smile off my face even if I wanted to. I turned around and picked my bag up and slung it over my shoulder while starting to make my way to my car. When I was a few feet off, I heard Lauren call my name so I turned around to face her. She had a smirk on her face so I raised an eyebrow at her.
"I just wanted to tell you that your ass looks sexy in those softball pants."
She winked at me and I blushed redder than a tomato as she turned and walked off towards the other girls.
