IM SORRY FOR THE LAST CHAPTER IM SORRY! DO NOT KILL ME!

Is this book getting boring now? I think it is, let me know please like if I should delete or something.

We are around a little past the middle so I shall be ending this at around 20-25 parts but do you want a sequel? I will be working on Jaces' story first and when that is finished, I'll be doing book two, if you lot want me to.

Chapter 18

Summer's P.O.V

Jace didn't bring up anything about the night he rushed out. I'm kind of worried about him to be honest, I saw his message. I didn't get to see the contact but I have a feeling it was his mum or something. The clues kind of added up now, we never went to his house, he will avoid talking about his home life at all. What if his Mum did abuse him? I can't just go up to him and ask, I'll leave it for now.

I was sat in my room doing homework when Dan came into my room.

'Hey Sum, I was thinking. Vid-Con is in a few days, do you want to come?'

'Yes, oh my god yes please!'

I jumped onto him, enveloping Dan in a hug.

'If you want, Phil 'accidentally' purchased a fourth ticket so you can invite Jace, if you want,'

'Are you being serious?'

He nodded, smiling.

'That's amazing! Thanks so much Dan, can I go over to Jaces' now to ask him,'

'Yeah, be back for 8:30 though, it's Chinese night,'

'Will do, thanks,'

I grabbed my jacket and slipped on my shoes, shoving my phone in my pocket before exiting the apartment.

I roughly knew my was to Jaces'. When I arrived, the curtains were closed and all the lights seemed to be turned off. The grass was over grown, a few dead plants in plant pots that were smashed, it didn't look friendly at all.

I walked up to the porch and knocked on the door and waited patiently for someone to answer. Shortly after, a woman -mid 50s maybe- answered, she was definitely Jace's Mother. She had the same sandy blonde hair but longer and messier, her light blue eyes seemed to pierce my soul instead of Jace's friendly, welcoming ones.

'What do y' want?' She hissed, like say it, don't spray it.

'I'm looking for Jace, if he's in please,' I smiled, manners don't cast a penny.

'He ain't in, who're you?'

'I'm Summer, Jace's friend,'

'Oh, well he ain't in,' She slammed the door in my face. Rude much?

'Nice to meet you too!' I shouted into the letter box.

I walked away and got out my phone, clicking on Jace's contact.

It started ringing, after about 4 rings he picked up.

'Hey Summer, what's up?' He asked

'Are you available at the minute?' I replied

'Yeah, I'm just on my way to Starbucks. Meet me there?'

'Okay, see you in a min,'

'Bye, love you,'
