Chapter 33 - Storm

Start from the beginning

"I don't listen when hostages are threatened," I calmly replied to him, acting bored.

"Oh this?" Zeke said with mock surprise. "This boy is merely a... demonstration shall we say. I understand you are quite fond of him." Zeke brushed Robby's bangs away from his face in a fatherly gesture. I couldn't help the growl that sprang from my chest. Zeke then shoved him off the bench and on the ground where he landed with a frozen thud, Zeke's gaze never leaving mine.

I inwardly grimaced, but simply folded my arms, trying my best to ignore Robby- that impact was going to hurt later. "What game are you playing now?"

"My dear, you again wound me," Zeke said dramatically, relaxing against the bench again. "And you will hear me." Zeke closed his fist which extinguished the flames. His hand was glowing that light green color. Didn't he know he just pushed away his shield, his protection?

"No," I practically shouted and directed an energy blast at him. I had practiced focusing the energy pulse in a narrower path, increasing my accuracy. The shock on his face was priceless, but I needed to kill him, not toy with him. The blast threw him backwards against a building on the far side of the street. I ran over to him shaking with rage, I had hoped this had killed him. I noticed that time started moving again since I heard sounds and saw people moving and talking. I must have broken Zeke's machine again.

"Danika, where are you? Are you ok?" I heard Stephen's voice in my head.

"I'm uninjured and outside the grocery store, Zeke is with me. Or should I say he's still alive for the moment." I said this with a ferocious wildness. I had seldom been in such a state, and I felt foreign, disconnected somehow.

"I want him alive, Danika," Stephen growled in my head, I knew he was on his way.

"No, this ends now," I replied, feeling Stephen's building anger but I was almost in front of the injured man. Zeke just lay there on the sidewalk, he was badly injured but could still smirk. Warriors started to run over to me, they knew their Luna was being threatened, I was in such a fury I broadcast it to the pack.

"You've been practicing, Luna," Zeke kept smirking at me in spite of his obvious pain, I noticed he was breathing hard.

"Stay back!" I shouted to the men and women coming closer, "He's mine to kill." I saw the shocked faces of my warriors but they reluctantly stayed close behind me. Luna's don't normally do the fighting, and I was more than capable.

"Don't disobey me on this, we agreed-" Stephen started to say through our link but I interrupted him.

"No! He's mine to kill, he's mine to slaughter, Death awaits him!" I shouted back out loud, I was out of control, my wolf was taking over and she was bloodthirsty. And I added shouting a little quieter, "And right now I am Death!" My wolf could taste his flesh in her mouth, wanted his blood on her tongue. My warriors shifted uneasily, this was cold-blooded murder- and I was relishing it- and I must have been broadcasting these images. Yes Zeke was an invader but we usually locked them up and put them on trial. Trial! That was a mockery. He was a dead man.

I stood in front of Zeke, blood pouring from his abdominal wounds now, and blood dripping from his nose and mouth. He tried to rise but couldn't, he was too wounded. I reached down and grabbing him by his collar I picked him up a few feet, the rage pulsing out of me.

Taunting me he said while his eyes searched mine, "Going to kill a man when he's down, Luna? I didn't think you had it in you." I simply opened my hand which dropped him back on the ground- and the flame appeared in my palm. I heard a few gasps from the warriors behind me, I guess some of them had never seen me do this.
