Chapter 18: A Surprise!

~Sami's POV~
I quietly snuck out of the house. No one noticed me. Everyone thought I was still asleep. I was going to Adams grave. They thought I forgot all about Adam. I always did this on the day he died. They never visited so I was good.
~Tim's POV~
I went upstairs to check on Sami, but when I opened the door she wasn't in the bed. I went back downstairs.
"Hey Tim. Why do you look so pale?"
"Sami's gone. I think she's going to Adams grave."
"That's not possible. She doesn't remember him."
"That doesn't mean anything Ross. Come on. Let's go."
*At Adam's Grave*
We saw Sami at his grave. She was sitting on the ground singing one line over and over and over.
"I loved and I loved and I lost you... I loved and I loved and I lost you... I loved and I loved and I lost you.... And it hurts like hell..."
We stood there for about five minutes. I walked up and sat next to her. She jumped and went silent. She looked at the grave.
"You didn't have to lie to us about forgetting Adam."
She stayed silent and continued to stare at his grave. Soon Ross and Max came and sat down with us.
"It still hurts."
I was looking at Sami when she said that. I saw a tear roll down her face, but she didn't move. She just sat there.
"Ross. Max. Can you give me and Sami some time?"
"Yes."
They got up and walked back to the car.
"Sami. Answer this truthfully. Did you love Adam?"
"Yes."
"Is that why you can't let him go?"
"Yes. I tried. I really did. But I just can't. I don't know why. I don't love him like I used to."
"Did you almost die because of him?"
"Yes. That's why I'd always go into a coma."
"Is he the reason your still here?"
"No. I stayed for you, our kids and everyone else. And don't think for a minute I'd have it any other way."
