Chapter 8: The New Kid

I woke up again, but this time it was 4:30 in the afternoon. I see my friends waking up too.
"What happened", Manuel asked.
"I don't know", Vanessa said.
"Is it me or does anyone remember being with a fortune teller", Manuel asked.
"We all remember that", Sabrina said.
"I also remember a blue light shinning", I said.
"Was the fortune teller a bad person", Lucy said.
"I don't know Lucy, maybe this person was bad", I said.
"Don't think about that", Sabrina said.
"You have pretty eyes", Manuel said.
"What?", Sabrina said.
"Um..... Nothing. Wow look at the time, got to go", Manuel said as he ran out of the room.
"That was strange", Sabrina said.
"Guys these days", Vanessa said.
"I'm going to go check on him", Adam said.
"I'll go with you", Sabrina said.
"No, stay here", he said.
"Geez. I'll stay, what's the problem", Sabrina said.
"Yeah, she wants to know", Lucy said.
"Oh. It's just that he needs to have a boy talk", Adam said.
Then the girls and I started to laugh.
"Not that kind of talk", he said.
"Wow, you just made this so weird", I said.
"Ok I'll be right back", Adam said.

He went out of the room to go to Manuel. After he left the door closed by itself and the lights turned off.
"Hey, who turned the lights off", Mandy said.
"What's going on", Sabrina said.
"Who closed the door", I said.
"I'm scared", Lucy said.
The lights turned on. We found ourselves tied up to a chair. We couldn't untie ourselves.
"What just happened", I asked.
"Who did this", Sabrina asked.
"Maybe it was the boys", Lucy said.
"Why do they have to make these jokes on us girls", Vanessa said.

"Oh, it wasn't them. I did it", said a mysterious voice.
"Who are you", Lucy said.
"Show yourself", I said.
Then the person opened the hatch from the roof. He jumped in and showed his face. He looked young, maybe around Lucy's age.
"Who are you", Sabrina said.
"I'm Connor, it's nice to meet you", he said.
"It's nice to meet you", Lucy said.
"Sorry I did this to you", he said to Lucy.
"It's ok. You didn't mean to", Lucy said.
"I think he meant to", Vanessa said.
"Yeah", I said.
"Hey kid, let us go", Sabrina said.
"I'll let the little one go, but you three will stay here", Connor said.
He untied Lucy and he grabbed her by the hand.
"Come on pretty one. Let's get out of here", he said.
"But I can't leave my friends", Lucy said.
"Lucy help us", I said.
"Don't listen to that fool, you don't even know him", Vanessa said.
"A year apart.....
Huh?", Connor said.

We heard a knock on the door.
"Girls open up", Manuel said.
"Help us", we all screamed.
"We're coming", Adam said.
The boys started pushing the door down. After many pushes they were able to open the door.
"Hey kid, who are you", Manuel said.
"What did you do to them", Adam said.
He grabbed Lucy by the hand.
"It's nice meeting you all, but I have to go", he said.
"Let me go", Lucy said.
"No", Manuel said.
Adam ran to Lucy. He tried to reach her hand, but he was to late. Connor opened the hatch and he lifted Lucy up. Adam grabbed her leg, then Manuel joined. Losing his grip he fell and hit the ground hard.
"Ouch my head", Manuel said.
"I got you Lucy, hang on", Adam said.
Alex ran to us. He tried to untie the ropes. When he did, I ran to the roof. Now I'm on the roof, I'm trying to keep my balance. I see the kid, I ran to him. I hit him in the head with a brick that I found. He got unconscious, I grabbed him so he wouldn't fall, and Adam grabbed Lucy. I told Adam to grab the kid, he did and put him on the bed. I dropped down from the hatch and hugged Lucy.

"Are you okay", I said.
"I'm ok, thank you for saving me", Lucy said.
"Who the heck was that kid", Adam said.
"He said his name was Connor", Sabrina said.
"He looks so cute when he sleeps", Lucy said.
"Don't tell me you like him after what he did to us", Vanessa said.
"I just said he looks cute", Lucy said.
"Don't trust the kid", Manuel said.
"You know the saying, stranger danger, it's like that for a reason", Adam said.
"Oh yeah, didn't think about that", Lucy said.
"I'm sorry", Lucy said. She started to cry.
"Don't cry Lucy, it's this kids fault", Adam said.
"Thanks Adam", Lucy said.

Lucky and Dawn walked in.
"What's going on", Dawn said.
"Who's is that kid", Lucky said.
"Well this kid tried to kidnap Lucy", Vanessa said.
"What", Dawn said.
"What happened to his head", Lucky asked.
"I smacked him in the head with a brick", I said, "I'll give him an ice pack."
I ran to the fridge and I grabbed an ice pack. I come back in the room and put it on his head.
"What on the world was this kid thinking of", I said in my head.
"Oh no, we have to get home", Sabrina said.
"Why, stay here", Lucky said.
"We all wish we could but we have to go home", Manuel said.
"Why", Dawn said.
"Because Night Armor and his army are destroying our home", Vanessa said.
"Wait we have to practice first", Adam said.
"That's a good idea", Lucy said.
"Yeah. We could be ready. Let's practice our super powers", I said.
"Lucky and I can teach you, after all we practiced to become guards", Dawn said.
"Thank you guys", I said.
"Don't mention it", Lucky said.

Then we all ran out the room. We began practicing.
Grabbing swords we swinger them at each other, bow and arrows was hard to use because we had to hit the bullseye, and our powers were the hardest. This took us all a week before we got the hang of it.

"Shooting star", I said.
I directly hit Adam and Vanessa.
"Levitation activate", Adam said.
He lifted pieces of the earth and dragged them all around, surrounding all of us in a circle.
"Teleport rocks", Vanessa said.
The rocks disappeared.
"Invisible activate", "Lucy said.
She was gone. Then she appeared in the air and hit Adam in the back, he fell to the ground.
"Animal herd", Sabrina said.
Animals from the forest came at us.
"Fire attack", I said.
It covered the path so the animals couldn't reach us.
"Tornado Fury", Manuel said.
The sky grew dark, wind started picking us up.
"Rain wash", Manuel said.
Ran came out of nowhere and got us soaking wet.
"Vanish", Manuel said.
We all fell to the ground. Freezing cold we went back to the house. Drinking hot cocoa, I went to check on Connor. He was still in the room, awake, he didn't want to come out. I grabbed him and let him sit right next to Lucy. That always made him happy and then he would always talk to her.

"It's time to go home now", I said.
"We already practiced", Manuel said.
"How are we going to get back home", Adam said.
"Dawn, Lucky can you help us", Lucy asked.
"Sure", Dawn said.
"Grab your things, we have a big trip ahead of us", Lucky said.
We wen too our rooms and grabbed out stuff, then we left the house and began to start our journey. As usual Connor would join us, he would only go near Lucy.
"Boys", I whispered in my head.
