Recap

"Looks great. Hop on, and hold tight." He helped me up and got situated. "It maybe a little loud at first." I nodded and grab a hold of his jacket. "Wrap your arms around me, I won't bit and you won't fall off." And so I did I wrapped my arms around him feeling every muscle on his sides and his stomach was hard like a rock. I couldn't help but blush and just then he turns around, "You ready?" I nodded in response.

He started the bike and then we were off. Everything looked different, seeing the world go by you fast and not be in the shelter of a car. I watched as all the buildings and trees passed by in a blur. Then we stopped. I held my mouth open and looked at him. "The only thing I thought was open, is that ok?" he looked slightly worried.

I laughed, "I was going to come here anyways." I got off the bike and handed him my helmet as we headed inside McDonalds. We placed our orders and took a seat. "So you prefer Motorcycles and Trucks over Maseratis, McDonalds over La Café Whatever, what else am I missing?" I giggled.

"I'm not the typical guy I know, I hear it quite often." He grinned. "So what made you want to dance at the club."

"Well its good money and I enjoy it. I love dancing and being around people. The crowd likes us and comes to see us and tonight was the first night we got to dance with them and not for them." I smiled remembering our little scene earlier.

"And how did you feel about that?" he asked.

"I loved it. They loved it-"

He interrupted "I loved it." we both laughed.

"Well I'm glad. It was quite a night, I was nervous at first because Carlos doesn't want us with the people because he's afraid that people will grab and try stuff with us."

"He's very protective over you ladies, he knows all of you keep them coming.. Especially you." A sly grin was on his face.

"I highly doubt that cuz-"

"It's true that's why I showed up, I've heard a lot over the past couple months and when Carlos told me about the anniversary, I wanted to see it. And I'm glad I did." He gave me that smile again and I couldn't help but blush and smile back.

"So dancing on my manager isn't going to get me in trouble I see." As I laughed.

"No not at all. So about the contract, were you interested in doing it? I mean, I know you want a lawyer to see it but I just want to know if you were interested." He said.

"Actually I don't have a lawyer and I can't really afford one" I laughed. "But yes I'm interested I just said that to Carlos because I thought he came up with it and was worried he might try to screw me over."

"Well I made it completely beneficial to you cuz the object is to keep you working for me.  According to my customers, your VIPs, they are quite taken with you so all the more reason to try and get you to stay." Cole was tapping his fingers on the table to a song that came over the speakers.

Our food arrived and we ate, talking about various things. "Well I had an amazing time but I have to get home and get to bed soon cuz tomorrow is going to be another long day, unfortunately." I laughed.

"I see, well let me take care of this and we can be on our way." He got up taking care of our trays and we headed out the door.

As we were driving to my apartment I was getting nervous. Is he going to expect something tonight? What if I made a mistake? What if he asks to come in, my place is a disaster. I continued to mull things over in my mind as I gave him directions. We finally made it and he turned the bike off. He got off the bike to help me. I took the helmet off and handed it to him and he straped it to his bike. "I had a great night Cole, thank you for the flowers and dinner, and lets not forget the ride."

"My pleasure and anytime, Thea." He smiled and silence began to fill the air as we walked to my door.

"Cole-" I squeezed out definantly having a hit of uncertainty.

"Yea-" he stiffened.

"Would you like to come inside?" I asked sounding a little more confident.

"Are you sure I wouldn't want to impose?" He had a bigger smile on his face the kind of smile a kid would have if the saw a mountain of ice cream with sprinkles.

"As long as you don't mind a mess I haven't had time to do that much cleaning." I smiled sheepishly.

"I wont mind. My house is mess half the time anyway." He smiled.

We walked up the flights of stairs to my door; I grabbed my keys praying to God my place wasn’t a total disaster. I unlocked the door, the scent of vanilla, chamomile, and honey filled my nose. Least it smelled good in here, I flipped on the lights and the place didn’t look to bad to my surprise. I barely ever notice seeing as I’m only here to shower and sleep. “Well come on in, welcome to my small over priced apartment.” I laughed. I loved decorating my house so my walls were painted in darker colors giving it a modern look. I had a tan suede couch and dark wood end tables. “Its not much but its only me here so I don’t need a lot.” I said as I closed the door.

“It’s very homey. How long have you lived here?” he said pointing to the boxes in the corner.

“Sadly I’ve been here 5 years, and those never made it out of the box.” I replied with a giggle. “And you’re more than welcome to sit down.”

“Where did you move from?” he said as he sat down.

“Well I’m an army brat people would say. I’ve never had a place to call my own till here. I moved here when my father was killed in Afghanistan.

“I’m sorry to hear about that.” I could see the shock and pity in his eyes.

“Its okay. He died protecting the country, doing the thing he loved to do. He’s a hero and he’ll always be remembered that way.” I smiled trying not to show the sadness that reached in the pit of my soul.

“Any brothers or sisters?” He asked.

“If this is a form of 21 questions I think we should go back and forth.” I laughed. This night has been filled with more laughter than I’ve had in months.

“My bad, I’m known for asking a lot of questions.” He chuckled.

“The answer to your question is no. I come from a long line of only children. No siblings, aunts or uncles, my grandparents are gone as well. So Pretty much its just me. My dad was my last relative.” I replied trying hard not to choke on my own words. My family was never a good conversation seeing as I don’t have one, and not for lack of trying but if people could just stop dying that would be great. “So where are you from?”

“You wont believe me if I said it.” he laughed.

“Try me.” I replied with a cocky tone.

“Wisconsin” he sounded somewhat ashamed.

“Really, and how did you become a club owner?” I asked sarcastically.

“It’s my turn but I’ll let it slide. Well I left my podunk town for the big city just like thousands wish to do. I worked as a bartender, moved up, had a partnership half owning a club, they dropped out I kept going and ta-da Cloud 9 was born.” He motioned like he did a magic trick. “So my turn, why did---"

The pounding on the door interrupted his conversation. “Its 4 in the morning why would anyone be here?”
