32: Snart the Fire Breathing Dragon

I heard a soothing voice and something shook me. I groaned and turned on my side, but something was restricting my hand. I instantly shot up and Tauriel and I's noses were touching. Her green eyes bore into my dark brown ones.

"Oh hello," I said.

She blushed then backed away; I turned to look at the steel grip on my hand.

The first words I croaked to the love of my life were, "Hey."

He attacked me with kisses in a second and I giggled. He kissed my nose, eyes, face, and lips over and over. I smiled the whole way through and shut my eyes from laughing so hard. We were both sitting upright so I caught him in a hug. He held me in his strong arms and I smiled.

"Oh my God, Kili, don't ever get yourself that hurt again!" I breathed.

He beamed at me.

Kili said, "Amrâlimê, I'm never letting you go."

I smiled, giggled, and kissed him. The house shaking interrupted us.

"How long have I been out?" I reluctantly pulled away from him.

"Hours," Tauriel said, "There is something wrong."

I climbed off the table and Kili jumped down with me. He winced and I held and caught him.

"Wrong? What is?"

I asked and a roar answered my questions. Dragon.

"I fear your companions awakened a dragon," she looked down at me and I face palmed.

"I can't leave them alone for a few hours without them setting off a sleeping dragon," I rolled my eyes and Kili and Tauriel both chuckled.

My head was hot, but my body was covered in goosebumps.

I am fire. I am... death.

A voice rang in my head and another roar sounded. I doubled over and closed my ears because it hurt. Strong hands held my head.

I came back up. "What was that?"

"Andiel, what was what?" Kili asked me.

I tenderly crossed my arms, "Tauriel, what do we do?"

She was packing something and said, "We make for the shore in one of the boats. We'll be safe there."

"Back from the dead and no hello?" I turned around and smiled.

I said, "Fili, you idiot come here."

We wrapped each other in a hug, swayed, then pulled apart.

"Come on," I said, "Let's go."

"I love it when you take charge," Kili told me.

I playfully rolled my eyes, "Tell me about it later."

"We have no time. We must leave," Tauriel said while holding Tilda's hand.

Bain said, "We're not leaving, not without our father."

Why was he even gone? He didn't come back, and he didn't say where he was going.

"We gotta," I told him and stretched.

"If you stay here your sister's will die. Is that what your father would want?" She turned to him.

I kinda felt bad for him. I had threatened him in rage, then his father's gone, and he had to take care of his sisters. Not to mention he was just threatened by a pack of Orcs. And now a dragon was coming to burn us all.
