The world of the picturesque is the world of the Romantics. As if the physical colonization of our land wasn’t enough, they had to immortalize and frame their accomplishments. Not only were new lands sought after to cultivate, new landscapes were searched for to encapture in the name of art. Our world was their blank canvas.

The mountains, sublime. The landscapes, picturesque.
