Harry smiled and waved at his godfathers, but when he turned, Sirius and Remus both wrinkled their noses at the smell coming from the clothes. It had the smell of blood, mud, dog poop, sweat, and like it had never been washed, which it probably hadn't. Remus couldn't wait to go with Sirius and Harry to the store. He would love to watch his godson's face when he saw what he was going to get, and how much of it he was going to get. Sirius took a comb and began to walk over to Harry. Harry saw the sharp looking ridges and paled dramatically.

"What's the matter, Harry?" asked Remus.

"What are you going to do?" asked Harry.

"I'm only going to comb your hair so that it will do it's best to lie flat." answered Sirius. Harry relaxed and color returned to his face. He stood still as Sirius did his best fix the nest of untidy hair. Remus picked him up onto his hip and walked towards the door, Sirius following. Harry wondered where they were going. He hoped that no one else would notice Harry and think that he was a freak. Harry took deep breaths in and out of his nose so that Remus and Sirius wouldn't notice his reddening face. Sirius took Harry and opened the front door.

"What are you doing?" asked Remus.

"Putting Harry in the passenger's side, where he belongs."

"It's not safe. Kids have died from that!" Remus exclaimed, taking Harry back. Remus opened the car door and put Harry in a car seat. It was the latest and safest design for toddlers, which Remus most definitely approved of. Harry pulled forward as far as he could and sat straight, staring ahead, not blinking. This was another thing the Dursley's had told Harry to do when he was wearing a buckle, or when he wasn't. They had actually made him ride in the trunk of the car once, but usually he had a seat.

"You can sit back, Harry." Remus said. Harry nodded and relaxed into the seat, his eyes still staring ahead, unblinking, his face expressionless.

"You can make noises or look where you want too." Remus offered, wondering why Harry was doing strange things. Harry obeyed and began looking where he wanted, blinking, and making small noises. Remus smiled, Harry was growing to his new life. Sirius turned on the radio as they cruised down to the store. They had decided to travel muggle ways and go to a muggle store where wizards were less likely to go. Once they had gotten into the store, they went to the kid's section. Harry was seated in the seat of the cart that was meant for little kids like him. It was much more comfortable than walking. Harry leaned back and closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep while he waited for Remus and Sirius to buy what they wanted.

"Harry, don't you want to buy stuff?" asked Sirius. Harry shook his head.

"At least tell us what looks bad so we can see what kinds of things you like." Remus urged. Harry looked around at the different clothes. They were very cool and of many different styles. Harry couldn't help but admire them and not shake his head at any except for the girl's ones. He was surprised when they took everything he didn't shake his head at and put it in the cart. They did the same with shoes, toys, sweets, drinks, and furniture.

"Hey, that looks like the rocking chair we sued to rock Harry in. Lily would insist we didn't until James told her to trust us." Sirius said as he pointed at a blue massaging, couch-like, reclining, seat warming, rocking chair. Remus nodded.

"Yeah, Harry would take forever to get to sleep so she would have someone rocking. Maybe this can cure his nightmares!" Remus exclaimed. They secretly made a copy of the chair, shrunk it, and put in their pocket to make larger at home. They checked out everything and used a tip to pay for the couch, since they didn't want to waste time in having one ordered and being put together. Once they got home, it was about time for dinner. They put something together and sat Harry in his high chair. They immediately began eating, watching Harry for sign of tiredness. Harry looked down, not wanting for them to look at him. It was disturbing and embarrassing, plus, they might be looking for signs of weakness. Harry yawned and felt his eye lids droop as he ate. Finally, he was done. Remus and Sirius worked together on chores, while Harry walked to the living room. He sat down and began reading some large novels he found lying around. Within ten minutes, he had finished the entire series and was looking for more books. He read so many books that he made two piles. Within ten more minutes, he had fallen asleep. Sirius came into the room and gasped at the pile marked done, how had Harry read so much in the twenty minutes that they had done chores, and gotten to sleep?

Remus came in and his eyes widened in surprise. They shook Harry awake.

"I'm sorry. I was bored because I've always gotten chores to do, and now that I haven't got any, I thought that I would read. I promise I'll put them back and never touch them again. Just please, don't hurt me!" Harry sobbed. Remus picked Harry up and gave him a big hug and walked up to Harry's room as Sirius picked up and put away the books. Remus sat Harry down on his lap and rocked him in the new rocking chair. He sighed at the comfortable pillows and cushions while Harry continued to cry. Finally Harry realized that he was not getting punished, so he quit crying by holding his breath. Remus popped the bubble made by Harry's cheeks (LOL, that sounded wrong) Harry couldn't help but giggle. Sirius came in and crouch down so that Harry could easily look into his eyes.

"Harry, you reading all of those books so soon actually made us amazed. You are the smartest five year old we have ever met!"

"I am?" Harry asked, his eyes aglow. Remus nodded.

"What's four hundred cubed?" asked Remus.

"Um, 64,000,000." Harry immediately said. Remus nodded, that was exactly correct.

"What's x squared?"

"X is an unknown value and I have no other information, so I don't know." Harry answered without taking a breath. Remus smiled.

"Harry, I don't think you'll ever have to go to school!" Remus exclaimed. Harry smiled, but inside, he was biting back tears and disappointment. one thing he had been looking forward to was going to school, they must think that he is still to freaky to go. Harry just nodded and looked at them eagerly.

"And Harry, how about this, we will rock you and read you books until you fall asleep, and then we will tuck you in and turn off the light and leave the door cracked." Remus offered. Harry nodded happily. He then allowed himself to fall asleep and be put to bed. Oh how nice it was to have family!
