party (part 2)

"yeah..?" I ask.
" come with me." Jacob says walking to another room.
I follow him.

I don't know how to digest what's happening right now. I'm getting mixed communications from my own self. I mean I like Jacob as a friend but once he gets really famous he's just gonna leave and forget all about me. But I think there's something there. I've been asking myself why I even like him and the only thing I can think of is that... there's just something about him that im just hung up on.

We're both sitting side by side on the bed in my guest room. I don't know what to say and all I can get out is,
" jacob you didn't have to-"
" no but I really do-"
" it was just a dare jaco-"
" no but listen"

I sit quietly waiting for him to go on.

" it wasn't because it was a "dare". It was because I actually do like you." His cheeks get redder than usual.

"Jacob I don't-"

"Please just wait... I don't want to to think I'm just some "celebrity" that doesn't care for people. I just want you to give me a chance." He says looking down.

I don't know what to say. I don't know how to feel. I don't know.

" jacob, I think that's really sweet of you but-"

"Please..." He says under his breath.

Never in a million years I thought I'd be in this conversation with Jacob Sartorius. But here I am.

" can you give me some time?"

" take as much as you need."

" thank you jacob."

I wait in the guest room and text Ally to tell everyone to head up stairs.

At about 10-ish everyone starts leaving.
I tell Ally about what happened with me and Jacob.

" just date him! come on! give him a chance! he's JACOB SARTORIUS!"

"exactly..." I mumble.

"come on brooky."

" maybe," I say, "I'll text him so we can talk."

I grab my phone and start texting him.

Me: hey, when do you think we can talk about what happened?

Jacob😛:  how about tomorrow
at the park?

Me: sure. what time?

Jacob😛: noon?

Me: okay, I'll see you then.

Jacob😛: sweet dreams🍭💤

I fall asleep,
the last thing on my mind,
was him.
