Kyler's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe I was stupid enough to leave Avery alone.

I knew I should have taken her with me.

But no! I was too stupid to.

They could have taken her away from me!

Then what would I do?

I'd die inside.

My life would be over without her.

Simple as that.

My grip around her tightened.

I didn't want to let her go, I wanted to keep her in my arms forever.

She's going to hate me.

The next time we stop, I'll have to turn her.

If I don't, we'll be on the run.

I don't want a life like that for her.

I don't want to turn her just yet either.

She still needs to be human just a little longer.

Avery stirred slightly in my arms.

I kissed her head and picked up my running speed.

Avery's P.O.V.

I opened my eyes and realized we were in a dark forest.

The only thing lighting the area around us was a fire.

Kyler sat to the left of where I was laying.

I sat up and he looked at me.

"We have a lot to discuss."

"Like what?"

"If I don't turn you soon, we'll be on the run and I don't want that life for you."

"Then turn me."

"It's not that simple, Avery. I want you to be human as long as possible-"

"Well I'm sick of being a human." I mumbled.

"Being a vampire is a lot different than being a human. First, you have so much strength, there's the speed, all your senses are heightened, you'll have to drink blood-"

"I'll get used to it. Kyler, I'm tiered of running and I'm tiered of being human. It shouldn't be this hard of a decision."

"Getting turned hurts and I don't want to hurt you. That's my main concern."

"I'll be fine because I'll get to spend the rest of eternity with you."

Kyler gave me a weak smile before he put out the fire and picked me up.

I closed my eyes as he ran.

About fifteen minutes later he stopped and set me on something soft.

It was our bedroom!

Kyler kissed me and never seemed to pull away.

When he did, he looked almost sad.

He brushed the hair away from my neck.

"I'm going to miss the human you." he said before kissing me again.

The last thing I remember was when he sank his fangs into my neck.
