By the time we got back from the skating rink, it was almost midnight.

Why X dragged us to a roller-rink is beyond me.

But hey, it got some of his energy out so I’m not complaining.

I walked through the door and X slung me over his shoulder.

“You pain in the ass!” I shouted at him through my laughs.

“Hey, I thought I was the pain in the ass.” Kyler said, surprisingly not mad at X for touching me.

X set me down and Kyler put his arm around my waist.

“You’re still my pain in the ass, Kyler. And X, you’re also my pain in the ass.”

“Not nice!” X shouted, looking hurt but not doing s very good job with keeping a straight face.

“Well, I gotta jet. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Alex said before he kissed X.

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking: oh gross! They’re kissing!

Well, in a way it was, but Alex and X are so cute together you can’t help but go ‘aww’.

I laid on the soft bed under the heavy covers since it was still cold here.

The bed shifted next to me and I turned to face Kyler.

Only… it wasn’t Kyler.

It was Nick.

I screamed and got away from the bed as fast as I could.

Nick grabbed my arm before I got far and pulled me back to him.

I screamed again when I felt his lips against my neck.

“One bite from a werewolf will turn you.” he said in an evil tone.

My heart was pounding as I struggled to get away from him.

His teeth grazed my neck before he sank them into my flesh making me scream again.

When he pulled his teeth out of my neck, I felt dizzy and sick.

“Wake up.” I heard Kyler say when he burst through the door.

“She will not wake up! I’ve bitten her! Now she can’t wake up!”

“Avery, just wake up. Wake up.”

Kyler’s voice faded until it was right next to me.

I opened my eyes and saw Kyler.

My hand flew up to my neck but I found nothing.

“You were having a nightmare.”

“Oh…” I mumbled.

“This isn’t going to get any easier is it?”

“I’m afraid not.”

I sighed in frustration and somehow fell into a dreamless sleep.

After a long night of hardly sleeping, I woke up and took a shower in hopes to wake up.

It didn’t work so well.

I got dressed and walked out of the bathroom and found Kyler sitting on the couch watching TV.

He pulled me onto his lap.

His lips pressed against mine and he pulled me closer.

Kyler leaned me back to where I was on my back and he was on top of me.

We pulled away when X and Alex game bursting through the door.

They were both happy about something and talking all at once.

I couldn’t understand a word they were saying.

“Okay, okay. One at a time please.”

Alex and X looked at each other and beamed.

“Alex is going to turn me!”
