It wasn’t long before Kris’s apartment was filled with rowdy hockey players.

“Flower you’re sitting on my damn bag!” I yelled climbing over Sid and Jordan to get my bag.

I yanked the bag out from under Fleury’s ass and grunted. I felt Jordan’s hands snake around my waist as he pulled me onto his lap. His touch burned on to my bare skin since I was wearing a slightly cropped top. I couldn’t deny the feeling, I liked it. Sid looked at me and raised his eyebrows as I started blushing.

“Ok let’s go hit the shops guys!” Kennedy yelled.

Thank god.

I jumped off Jordan’s lap and bounded towards the door almost knocking Kris down.

“Easy there tiger” Kris said grabbing my bag to slow me down.

Anything to get me out of the captains ‘Look’

“I call Kels! She’s coming with me!” Sid said before I could object.

“But -” Kris said

I slung my bag across my body and slipped my moccasins on.

“We’ll meet you there!” Sid said dragging me out of the apartment.

Sid led me to his car and we drove off to the shopping center. This was gonna be one awkward trip.

“So you and Staalsy now?”

Damn.

I sighed “Honestly, Sid I don’t know.”

I looked down and picked at my bracelet.

“Kels, I’m really sorry about everything you’ve been through.”

I bit my lip to keep myself from crying.

“Jor makes me happy. I feel like I need him right now” I said unable to explain my feelings.

After everything I still had feelings for Patrick. But being here in Pittsburgh I’ve also developed feelings for Jordan. Going back to Chicago, I would have to make a major decision. I felt like I needed to talk to Patrick more than anything, but I was still so heartbroken and was unsure if I could face him.

“No matter what happens Kels, I know Jordan will always be there for you. Even if he’s not in the picture. He really genuinely cares about you. And you will always have the rest of us.”

“Thanks Sid. I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me.” I said smiling and patting his hand.

We pulled up into the parking lot of the shopping center and waited for the other full cars to pull up. I watched as Jordan stepped out of the car. I bit my lip to keep a smile from forming. I admit it, I completely checked him out. He smirked and walked towards me.

“Couldn’t help but notice you checking me out there” He said with a smile on his face.

“Well I liked what I saw” I said teasingly as he gently pushed me up against Sid’s car.

My breath started to get uneven as I looked into his blue eyes that were so close to mine.

“Is that so?” He said huskily

I parted my lips and nodded.

“Jesus guys!!” Kennedy yelled at us. “You can get some later!!”

I couldn’t help but giggle at the snide comment. Jordan laughed and took my hand as we quickly caught up to the rest of the team.

“So we need to find Kels a dress for tonight!” Flower said cheerfully.

“Flower why don’t you go with Kels to the dress store and the rest of us will go look for something for us to wear” Kris said planning everything out.

I looked at Flower thinking he wouldn’t be too happy getting stuck with me but he seemed pretty enthusiastic. I looked at Jordan who was pouting.

‘Why can’t I go with Kelsey!” He whined.

“What are we, two?” Sid said rolling his eyes.

I gave Jordan a wink and took off with Flower. We found this dress shop and stepped in.

“So what are you thinking, Flower?” I asked already checking through some dresses.

“I’m thinking, short, tight, black.” He said in a serious tone.

I looked at him with wide eyes.

“I’m kidding!” He said

We started cracking up getting weird looks from other people in the shop. We picked out a couple dresses and I went to try them on. I got stuck in the first one, so Flower had to help me out of it. It took 20 minutes because Flower broke the zipper trying to unzip it in the first place. Once I got out of it I tried on a couple dresses before I found one that I really liked. I stepped out of the fitting room and stricked a pose for Flower.

“I love it!” He clapped.

It was a tight black bandage type dress with an open back. It wasn’t too short which made it perfect.

“I really like this one!” I said looking at myself in the mirror.

“With some red heels it’ll be perfect”

“Mr. Fleury, I think you may be right!” I said high fiving my new fashion partner.

He insisted on paying for the dress even when I tried to push him to the ground so I could pay, but he won. So I thanked him and squeezed him in the biggest hug. We stopped by a shoe store quickly so I could get some red heels and then we were off again to find the rest of the pack. We found them in the food court.

Where else would hockey players be.

They were pigging out already.

“Glad you waited for us guys!” I said sarcastically putting my bags down.

I made my way over to where Jordan and Kris were sitting. I took a big bite out of Jordan’s pizza.

“My pizza!” He yelled

I rolled my eyes at him and continued to chew.

“So did you find anything good?” Kris asked putting his arm around me

“Yeah actually I did!” I said as I rested my head on his shoulder.

“ I see you guys did some shopping too” I eyed the piles of shopping bags.

“Oh yes we did” Jordan said

I looked around at the team. I really did love these guys. They were my other family. I smiled at Kris.

“What are you smiling about?” He asked.

I took a real good look at him. His famous sex hair under a beanie, gray v- neck and that smile.

“You know what, I realized that I made friendships that are gonna last a lifetime. And I’m really gonna miss you guys.”

At this point all the guys were listening.

“Well Kels, tonight is your last night in Pittsburgh. And you know what we’re gonna do?” Jordan said looking at the rest of his team then at me.

I felt the smile that hasn’t been there too often, creep back on my face.

‘Party!” They all shouted.
