Luke had told her that Newt made her weak. That the boy made all the good parts of her fade: the rudeness, the cockiness, the careless and dangerous part of the her, the parts that made Isabella survivable. Those disappeared whenever she saw or spoke to Newt, and Luke had trained her for months on how to keep it shut out, but the moment she saw him holding the weapon to her chest like her life meant merely nothing, the hard shell she used as armor broke and the old part of her had resurfaced.

Isabella needed a new plan because it was now confirmed that Wendy and Newt had feelings for each other.

She needed a plan to get Wendy killed.

Accidentally killed.

Wendy hissed in pain as Newt and Frypan tried to clean the wounds found on her body, eyes clenched shut as she tried to bare the pain.

In a moment like this, she would have grabbed Newt's hand for comfort and something to grip on, but every time she even thought of doing so, she shrugged the idea off and remembered why she needed to resist the temptation.

"You lied to me." she finally said aloud when Frypan left. Her voice was strong, yet sensitive at the same time as Newt sat down in front of her. "You told me that she was just another glader. I didn't know you loved someone else, that you already had a girlfriend."

Newt's brows furrowed, "I do have a bloody girlfriend: you, Wendy." he told her back, words careful and soft spoken as tears fell from her eyes in the process. "At least until you lost your memories, but the goal was to rebuild ourselves, to rebuild you. Isabella died eight months ago, we had thought she died for sure. She literally fell off a bloody cliff into nothing but air, and the moment she did, that was it. I was by myself in all of the hell going on until you came along. And for buggin' sake, we don't need to use the world girlfriend to describe what's going on. I've said this before, I'm still madly in love with you and I'll wait until you're ready. Her—she, doesn't change anything." Newt told Wendy calmly, slowly slipping his hand into her bandaged one. "Do you believe me?"

Wendy felt her breath hitch in her throat, words caught in her mouth from what he told her. She felt like the massive and dreadful weight of Bella's arrival had been lifted from her shoulders. The part of her that resisted against his touch pounded at her mind, but she couldn't take it. She liked Newt, she still did, even if she had lost her memories. The feeling was there. He was there. And he loved her.

And that was all she needed.

With shaking fingers, Wendy grabbed Newt's shirt and brought her face to his, meeting his lips in an action so swift that the adrenaline came to her in a blur of colors.

She pulled away just as quick though, a gesture small enough to show that she believed him.

"Okay."

soooo, Isabella is back

and she's both the old Bella and the psycho Bella at the same time. what a personality.

okay I'm not going to lie, but writing her character is so difficult because I'm not used to writing a sweet/nice character that's also aggressive/impulsive/and destructive at the same time. I need to get used to it because you guys will be seeing a lot of her in the future though

the next chapter is going to be Newt's pov so you all will be getting an insider of how he truly feels about the situation, get ready for that!

vote/comment/ team bella or team wendy for the win???? tell me why here!

well everyone, until next time, goodbye!
