"Not for me!" she shouted by her head, her voice bitter and cold as she spoke. "You know what you did? You took my life, Wendy. The one thing I loved, you took, the place I called home, you took. You took everything from me you bitch." she hissed venomously into her ear, "WICKED thought I was too good, that I failed the Trials because I almost figured out the Maze without needing Thomas or Teresa. That's why they sent you in, to go fix my mistake, the mistake of having common damn knowledge. What a waste, though, I'm way better than you. Newt knows that for sure." she tsked as she sent the blonde a wink.
Wendy's eyes flickered to Newt's to see that he had finally snapped out of his shocked gaze. "What does she mean?" the brunette asked, knowing that there was more to the "dead" girl than she knew. With the weird behavior and constant tension that came up when Bella was mentioned, Wendy knew something was up.
"She doesn't know?" Isabella said with a laughing voice, "Wow, sweetheart, guess you're not important enough to know that I'm Newt's girlfriend."
It took Wendy a few seconds to actually grasp the words, but when she did, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped, completely forgetting about the knife pressed to her throat at the moment. "Girlfriend? You two—what?"
"Told you that I'm better than you." Isabella mocked with a grin as she continued to dig into Wendy's skin, enjoying the sound of the girl wincing. "Guess he never really got over me. Good thing though, I'm here to get him back. Might take a few make out sessions to get rid of your taste though. I don't mind at all on the contrary, we'll have some fun doing it like in the Glade."
Wendy felt anger fuel inside of her at the words, the anger increasing more when Newt seemed just as awestruck as she was. He hadn't told her. He hadn't told her the truth.
Newt had lied to her.
With an enraged expression, Wendy freed her arm and plunged her right elbow into Isabella's stomach, knocking the blonde backwards with a surprised gasp, but just as fast did Isabella regain composure and make her first move by swinging her knife at Wendy's face immediately.
Wendy ducked and launched herself towards her, throwing the two to the ground with a loud thud. Isabella easily got the height though and flipped themselves over, her body hovering over Wendy's as she placed her knife back at her throat. "Lucky I haven't stabbed you yet." she sneered angrily as she spit in her face.
"Good thing you talk too much." Wendy countered back before she lifted her knee and threw the girl off of her, then rising to her feet quickly. But as if the blow meant nothing, Isabella yawned as she rose too.
"What a good show, princess." she said with a sickly voice. "Now it's time to get down to business."
Isabella swung a punch at her face, throwing her off guard from the blow as pain seared through Wendy's cheek, the girl stumbling backwards as Isabella advanced. "One thing I learned about survival. Always know who you're facing." she stated as Minho finally jumped in. Turning around, Isabella elbowed the Asian in the face and kicked him backwards, then swinging around and punching Frypan and using his stick-weapon to hit him roughly in the back.
Gladers continued coming from all sides, but Isabella easily fought them off as if they were pests, leaving Wendy to get back up. Isabella smiled at her before swinging again, and Wendy ducked and moved backwards. "Nice form." Isabella commented, "It's sucks. Might wanna get lessons, sweetheart." she laughed as she landed three more punches on her before tossing the girl to the ground using the wooden stick.
