The Bet

Chapter 20

Caleb's POV

Amy and I sat at the table and my heart began to race. Alyssa had almost told her what was going on. Now Amy expects some sort of big secret reveal by the end of the night. I admit Alyssa is jealous but I really do love Amy. If she finds out I'm only going out with her because of some bet I made with Tyler, she'll be heartbroken and probably never love again. She's gonna hate me forever. Especially since the whole school is here, the girls here will think that I'll only love them cause of some bet I made. Which isn't true. I've really fallen in love with Amy in the three months we've been together. She'll think I'm jerk of she finds out. I need to go tell Tyler and make him help me stop Alyssa.

"I'll be right back. I need to go find Tyler", I said.

"Alright. I'm gonna go find my friends", she said.

I got up and walked through the crowd of people. I found him on the dance floor with a cheerleader that I didn't recognize.

"Tyler. I need to talk to you", I said.

"Alright man", he said.

He told the girl he'll be right back and followed me to a table.

"What's up?", he asked.

"You know what's up. Someone told Alyssa about our little bet", I replied.

"Dude I'm sorry. We were playing truth or dare and it slipped out. Oh and by the way, you won. She fell in love with you in three weeks", he said.

"Yeah and now thanks to you Alyssa is gonna tell the whole school. If Amy finds out she'll be crushed", I said.

"So? Just get another girl. There's tons of them in this school", he said.

"You just don't get it. If you really were my friend you wouldn't be acting like this. Friends help each other out no matter what. Which you're not doing. You're no longer my friend. Bye man", I said.

I went to find Alyssa so I can talk some sense into her. If not I need to get Amy out of here asap. I found her with her friends at a table.

"Alyssa I need to talk you", I said.

"Okay", she said.

She got up and followed me to the corner of the gym.

"So did you tell that girl you're done with her?", she asked.

"That's what I wanted to talk to you about", I replied.

"I'll tell her for you", she said.

"Just listen. Don't tell the whole school please I'm begging you", I said.

"No. You made your choice to be with her. Populars stick with populars. You and that girl need to learn a lesson. So I'm gonna make you in front of the whole school", she said.
