A week later...

"Come on Audrey. Prom is 12 hours away and I need a dress, shoes and I need my hair done. What am I supposed to do?", I asked.

We were sitting in the mall at the food court and I was freaking out cause I had nothing and I had $600 to spend on everything I need for tonight.

"I don't know Amy. We've looked in almost every store here. Except for one", she replied.

"Which one?", I asked.

"Girly Things", she replied.

We both know I hate that store more than anything. All the popular girls shop there. But at the moment I didn't have a choice.

"Alright but if I start acting girly slap me back to reality", I said.

"Okay", she said.

We threw away our garbage and began walking. Once we arrived it was just as I imagined. Pink, fluffy pillows everywhere, perky workers and even worse. The popular girls. Alyssa, Amber and Dina. Amber and Dina were holding three bags each while Alyssa searched for a dress. She picked one out and looked at her "minions". Then she noticed me standing at the entrance. Alyssa snapped her fingers and sayshayed over our way.

"Are you two lost?", Alyssa asked.

"No I think we're in the right place", I replied.

"I think you aren't. This store is for girls who love girly stuff. Not girls who think that jeans and an oversized hoodie is cute", she said.

"Please. Coming from a girl who wears so much perfume and make up and comes to school everyday looking like a clown and smelling like the boys locker room", I said.

"Wow. Good comeback", Audrey whispered.

"Thanks", I whispered back.

"Well if you two are done whispering I need to find a cute dress and shoes to impress Caleb tonight", Alyssa said.

"You must not pay attention to what goes on with people other than yourself. Caleb is my boyfriend", I said.

"Oh my gosh did he tell her yet?", Dina asked.

"I don't think he did", Alyssa replied.

"Told me what?", I asked.

"Nothing hun. You'll find out tonight", Alyssa replied.

"Or we could tell her now. They've been dating over a month now", Amber said.

"True. Let's wait until prom to tell her. That way the whole school can see", Alyssa said.

"Yes. We should wait until then", Amber said.

"Anyways girls. I hope you two find good dresses cause you have no taste", Alyssa said.

She walked away and her friends followed her. Audrey and I went and searched for dresses. We eventually found one for each of us. I found a black dress with a sparkly sweetheart neckline on it that was tight around my upper body but flowed down my wait and ended at my knees. Audrey found a long ankle length blue dress with rhinestones at the waist circling around the waist. I have to admit our dresses were beautiful. Then we each found matching shoes. Then make-up. Once we checked out we went to go get our hair done. I got my in a single braid going across my shoulder with different clips in it to make it stand out. Audrey got hers pinned up in a bun with different clips to. We looked like models I have to say. Now all we have to do is go get ready.
