Pulling into the apartment plaza's parking lot you found an open parking space. Once parked you cut the engine and the car fell from life. Opening the car door with your car keys in hand, you exited your car and walked towards your apartment. Walking into the entrance, you were greeted by a friendly smile coming from the freckled familiar face of the afternoon host, Brandon.
"Good afternoon, (Y/N), how are you today?" He asked with a welcoming smile that radiated from his hazel eyes.
"I'm doing good Brandon, and yourself?" You asked already heading for the elevator.
"I'm quite well thank you!" He responded.
The elevator doors popped open, before entering the small square temporary room you looked back with a smile, "That's good. Have a good day!" You said. Turning back around you stepped into the elevator. Walking over to the floor selection panel, you pressed the number 3, the button glowing as the doors shut and you began your ride up.
Within 40 seconds the doors opened and the scenery had changed to a long hallway with multiple doors on both sides of the hallway. Stepping out, a women with a stroller occupied by a toddler replaced you in the elevator, the sweet scent of her perfume lingered down the hallway. Passing her with a friendly smile you continued your way down the hallway, until you reached door 365 on the right side of the hallway. Sticking the key into is designated slot you jiggled and turned your key until your ears were greeted by a click, removing the key you turned the knob, opening the door. Your eyes were greeted by a dark room, the blinds still down from this morning, sunlight cut off.
You sighed, dropping your keys on the shelf above the light switch which your hands found blindly with ease, flipping the switch on the room lit to life. Observing the quaint room your eyes caught something unexpected, you jumped backwards into the closed door. "Oh my God!" You squealed.
Jaime sat on the couch, holding the spare set of keys in hand. "Beat cha!" He grinned.
"H-How! Not funny!" You stuttered, still caught of guard from the friendly surprise.
"I don't take back roads like somebody else." He chuckled, his words obviously speaking of yourself.
"Psh it's pretty!" You argued with a giggle as you made your way through the living room into the small kitchen, taking a seat on a stool, placing your elbows on the island, you rested your chin in your hands.
Jaime turned around on the couch, "And the highways are faster, what's better when you wanna scare a friend?" He grinned.
You sighed, taking a ripe Macintosh apple from the woven fruit basket, in your hand. "Ah, shut up!" You laughed, tossing the apple at him.
Catching the apple in his hand before it could hit him Jaime grinned. "Why thank you!" He said in a wise ass tone, taking a bite out of the apple.
"You're impossible I swear!" You muttered, jumping off the stool.
Jaime chuckled, you could feel his satisfied smirk at your back, "Where ya going, fighter?" He asked curiously. You heard him take another bite of the apple.
"To my room." You called back, continuing down the small narrow hallway with only three doors, a bathroom, spare room, and your bedroom.
"Oh, alright. That's cool just, ya know leaving me here!" Jaime spoke with sarcasm.
"I never said you couldn't come along." You said as you walked into your small bed room, the floor decorated with discarded cloths, both dirty and clean. Your bed still unmade and blinds still down. The ocean teal walls empty, minuscule holes, scars from tacks, dotted the walls. Walking over to your desk you opened the top drawer, a pile of pictures greeted your eyes upon opening, taking the pictures in your hand you turned back around to the dotted wall.
