"There is a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every person which cannot be filled by any created thing, but only by God, the Creator made known through Jesus." At many points of our lives, one way or another we felt this emptiness inside our hearts. I had felt this in my life. But when I came to know Jesus, everything has changed." Sir Joseph, our Finance Director shared during the evening devotion.

"Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end." It was God who put eternity in our hearts, a hole that nobody can ever fill up but Him. With this, may we all be encouraged by God's everlasting love for all of us." Sir Joseph concluded.

It was the last night of our retreat. Being reminded of this truth that only our God can truly fill up the hole in a person's heart was more than enough to hold on to God's love. If I'd be given a chance to go back in the past, if I had a time machine, I knew where I would go now. It was when God filled up the empty hole in my heart. My heart will forever be whole in the hands of God.

That night was also the much awaited  Fun Night for the staff. This had been a long tradition of the organization and this year's theme was all about fairy tales--- anything about "happily ever after".

Pam would like us to wear fairy costumes. She told me to bring my floor-length chiffon royal blue dress and promised that she'd make me a small blue and white flower headdress to match it. For herself, she had her knee-length green dress matched with transparent fairy wings and silver sandals.

I was not good at things like these... wearing costumes, putting on makeup, and the likes. Good thing, Pam was always on the rescue and her expertise was really awesome.

Admittedly, even if I got stressed on doing things like this, I really loved fairy tale stories...it would not be complete without saying... "and they lived happily ever after." In reality, I knew that not all stories would end in "happily ever after." But I was still a believer and a dreamer ever since...

Pam handed to me the headdress she made.

"For the fairy in the blue dress..." Pam sweetly said.

"Oh, thank you so much, Pam. You're the most creative friend I've ever known." I mused.

"Thank you for the compliment! Really appreciate it." Pam replied.

"Are you sure you're okay now?" I asked her.

"Actually, not totally...Faith, can I ask a favor?" She reached for my hands.

"What is it?" I suddenly felt nervous.

"Regarding our presentation, I think I couldn't do it. My stomach might get upset during the act." She really looked so worried.

"Okay, I'll try to ask Ma'am Shelly. Maybe, we can request to cancel our presentation. I'm sure she would understand..." I began to look for Ma'am Shelly.

"Hope that she'll agree with you," Pam replied.

"We can try, don't worry. Just stay right here..." I squeezed her hands to assure her that everything would be just fine.

I went out of the session hall to look for Ma'am Shelly. I remembered her saying that she would return to her room to get her costume. The Fun Night would soon start so I needed to hurry. I bumped into Sir Lane in the walkway.

"Sorry, Sir Lane. I didn't see you." I apologized.

"It's okay. Are you looking for someone?" He queried.
