Chapter 40: Marry Me

"I can't get you pregnant, you hear that???!!!! I can't!!! I'm an imbecile!!! I can't have no child!!!! I will never be a father!!!!" sigaw naman ni Ty na nagpatahimik sa mga naroon.

"What...? That...that can't be..." ani naman ni Laurice na hindi makapaniwala sa narinig

"Are deaf or are you stupid??!!! I can't be the father of your child because I can't have any!!!" ani naman ni Ty na galit pa rin.

"You're... You're the only one I have in...in my life Ty...no one else..." ani naman ni Laurice na iyak ng iyak.

"I think this conversation is over... Let's go Beatrice... Let's get the hell out of here..." ani naman ni Ty

"But Aldrich... " ani naman ni Beatrice

"Please Beatrice... Get me outta here..." ani naman ni Ty

Wala ng nagawa si Beatrice kung hindi alalayan ang kaibigan. Kitang kita niya ang sakit at paghihirap sa mga mata nito.

"Ty!!!!!! Don't leave me please!!!! I'm begging you!!!!! Ty!!!!!" sigaw naman ni Laurice habang palayo si Ty sa kanya.

"Enough Laurice... Come on...get up..." ani naman ni JT na naawa sa kapatid.

"Kuya...he left me... But...But I swear to god he's...he's the only one in my life...no one else.. " ani naman ni Laurice na lalo ng humagulgol sa dibdib ng kapatid.

Nang nasa sasakyan na sina Ty at Beatrice ay tahimuk lang ang binata na tila hindi maabot nino man ang iniisip.

Nang makarating sa penthouse ay dumirecho sa balkonahe si Ty at doon naglabas ng alak na tila mo uhaw na uhaw.

"Aldrich... " ani naman ni Beatrice

"That's Laurice... The most... Beautiful woman I've ever met in my life...she must...must have hate me so much now... " ani naman ni Aldrich na patuloy sa pag inom.

"Let it out Aldrich... I'm here for you...let it all out..." ani naman ni Beatrice na naawa na talaga sa kaibigan.

"She's... She's gone now...out of my life... You know what...I...I could have accepted that child no matter what... If only...if only I'm... I'm not dying...I will accept the child...as my own...that's how much I love her..." ani naman ni Aldrich na umiiyak na napaluhod na sa sahig.

"Why don't we... Get a second opinion... You could be wrong... " ani naman ni Beatrice

"What for...everytime I'm seeing a doctor... All they do is take my happiness from me...I don't wanna see another one who might be telling me that tomorrow would be my last...I'm fed up with them..." ani naman ni Aldrich na patuloy sa pagluha.

"Aldrich... I...I don't think she's lying...I saw it in her eyes...the pain of your rejection... What if...what if you're wrong...? What if... You can really have a child... Then you're gonna lose this chance to be a father..." ani naman ni Beatrice

"Even if...a... A miracle happen...that the child is mine...then in...three years time...I'm gonna break not just one heart but two...how can I fuckin' live with that...borrowing a...few moments of happiness... Then what? I'm gonna break her world apart...? I won't do that to her..." ani naman ni Ty

"A moment of happiness... Is still happiness Aldrich. You should know that...would you rather die with all those regret of not being with the woman you love most...?" ani naman ni Beatrice na pilit ipinapaunawa sa kaibigan ang lahat.

"When I'm her...I just wanna be selfish... I want a lifetime with her..." ani naman ni Aldrich na naghihirap ang kalooban.

"Then why are you waisting your time...? If that three years is the only years you have left in this lifetime...why are you wasting it?" ani naman ni Beatrice

"Why are you doing this? You said you love me but you keep on pushing me to her..." ani naman ni Ty

"Because that's how much I love you Aldrich... I want you to be happy... And I saw...how much she loves you too..." ani naman ni Beatrice na may malungkot na ngiti sa mga labi.

"Alright... Do me a favor then...call Andrei and...ask him to...to get in touch with Dr. Aligierre...have my records sent over...check it yourself... And find that miracle you're looking for..." ani naman ni Ty na naghihirap pa rin ang kalooban.

Shangri-la Hotel

Araw ng press conference ni Aldrich. Kahit ilang araw na itong nadedelay ay hindi talaga maiwasan ito.

"Let's begin the press conference. Mr. Yee of Manila Finest. You go first." ani Lex ng simulan ang press con.

"Prince Aldrich, can you tell us what will happen to CRN now that you're back on being a prince? " tanong ng reporter

"CRN will still continue to operate as the leading recording and network company. " sagot naman ni Ty.

"Are you still gonna stay here in the Philippines?" tanong pa ng isa.

"No...I'll be based in Paris and over see the company from there." sagot naman ni Ty

"Then who will be handling the Manila Branch?" tanong pa ng isang reporter

"My Executive Assistant will be the Gen. Manager of CRN's Manila Branch." sagot naman ni Ty

"Prince Aldrich... Is it true that the Lady Beatrice of Versailles is your new girlfriend? " tanong ng isang reporter

Napapikit si Ty ng marinig ang tanong. Pero alam niyang kailangan niyang sagutin ito.

"Yes... Lady Beatrice... Is my girlfriend... " ani naman ni Ty

" Damn you Aldrich... Why are you doing this to yourself...? Why are you hurting everyone around you...?" ani ng isip ni Beatrice habang pinapanood si Ty.

Doon na nagkislapan ang flash ng nga camera sa harap ni Beatrice.

"Everyone! This press con is all about me. This does not include the Lady Beatrice so if you have any questions feel free to ask me or we can stop this now." mariing saad naman ni Ty.

"Did you leave Laurice Avila-Lyons for the Lady Beatrice your highness?" tanong naman ng isang lalaking nasa pintuan at matamang nakatingin sa mga mga ni Ty.

Sa gilid naman ng mata ni Ty ay nakita niya roon si Laurice na umiiyak na nakatingin sa kanya.

"Lady Beatrice and I knew each other since we were kids. I saw her again when I came back to France." ani naman ni Ty

"I believe you did not answer my question your highness. Did you leave my sister for her?" mariing ulit ni JT sa kanyang tanong.
"I did...and I believe you wanna know why. It's not unusal for a prince to marry someone of the same level right? I hope you're satisfied with my answer Mr. Lyons." ani Ty na tumayo na sa kinauupuan at nilapitan si Beatrice.

"I'm sorry Beatrice... " ani Ty saka bumaba ang labi nito sa mga labi ni Beatrice.

Hinalikan niya ito at alam niyang nakikita siya ngayon ni Laurice.

Nang matapos ang halik ay tila natulala si Beatrice at hindi na nakapag react. Hinawakan na lang ni Ty ang kamay nito at hinila palabas ng conference area.

"Aldrich wait..." ani naman ni Beatrice

Hindi i naman na nagsasalita si Ty at diredirecho lang na naglalakad hanggang sa malapit na sila sa kotse.

"I said wait!!!" ani naman ni Beatrice na kinalas ang kamay ni Ty na nakahawak sa kanya.

"What the hell was that Aldrich?" ani naman ni Beatrice

"Marry me Beatrice... " ani naman ni Ty na nakatingin sa mga mata ng dalaga.
