Caitlin's P.O.V

"Guys come on, we have a three hour drive to Providence, we need to get going." I yelled from the front door. The heat of June was unforgiving today and I was already sweating, wishing I could be sitting in the car with the A.C. on full blast. But my dad and Nancy were taking so long, and we still had to pick up Brendon from his house down the road.

My audition was today and I was going to go insane. I've been working on the song for so long and I felt as if I was ready, but I still had hours until my audition. It's six o'clock in the morning and I was ready to roll, I don't think I've ever been this energetic to do something. I guess it's because I was so excited for this today. I was going to try and achieve my dream. Singing is my one true passion and I would give anything just to get these four yes'.

"Nancy would you please hurry up, we've got to get going." I called out to my dad's girlfriend. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and then she appeared, a breathless smile on her face.

"Sorry hun, I couldn't find my shoes." She said.

"It's fine, it's fine. Where's dad?" I asked her.

"I'm right here, let's go." My dad said.

I smiled with relief as we finally, finally, left the porch. I was at the car in two seconds flat, climbing into the back seat while my parents took the front. I was moving my knee up and down in anxiousness, feeling the nerves coming in harder than they were before. I was so nervous for today, I felt as if I could barely breathe. But I was so excited. I couldn't wait to get out on the stage and show the judges what I had to offer the world. I was so ready for this, I could feel it.

The car was brought to life and music started to play, although my dad lowered it in order to talk to his girlfriend. It didn't take us long to pick up Brendon, so once we had him in the backseat we were on our way. I still couldn't believe that this was happening, but man, I was so excited.

"There are so many cameras." I whispered to Brendon, looking around the large room we were in it.

It was the Dunkin' Donuts Center and the entire place was huge. There were people all over the area, singing, talking, laughing. The entire place was such a mess and some people, employees I assume, were trying to control everyone. They weren't doing a good job, as the entire room was a mess of people. But I loved it. I really did love all this ciaos.

My family and I plus Brendon were standing in line, almost up to the table that were collecting information about the people auditioning. There were just two people in front of me. My nervousness that had settled in a few hours ago was beginning to disappear. The closer I got to the stage the more at home I felt.

"You should get used to it," Brendon said, looking down at me. "If you make it through to boot camp there will be cameras everywhere. You're face will be plastered all over the country. All over the world!" Brendon exclaimed dramatically, raising his arms up. I laughed loudly and grabbed his wrists, tugging his arms down.

"Don't get ahead of yourself there." I said before turning around.

There was one more person in front of me and soon enough, the young girl was gone and it was my turn to talk to the worker at the table. "Hi." I smiled.
