Chapter 21
The next day...
Taylor POV
After we got off the bus, Riker and I went to my house. His siblings and my siblings went to his house. So we were all alone.
"So how was today?" I asked.
"What? Macy's friends?"
"Yeah."
"You know... Obnoxious..."
"Sorry..."
"They were a little better though."
"Well that's good."
"What do you want to do?"
"Um... I don't know."
"What's this?"
Riker handed me a note that was on the kitchen table.
"Dear Jake, Taylor, and Emily, Your Aunt was rushed to the hospital this morning. I don't know when I'll be back. Be good, Mom."
"So you guys are all alone?"
"I guess so..."
"Sorry about your aunt."
"It's ok. I don't really know her anyways."
"So... We should do something fun."
"Like?"
"Like this."
Riker picked me up, put me on the kitchen counter, and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around him.
"Riker, I have a random question."
"Yeah?"
"Why have you been wearing your glasses to school this week?"
"Because my eyes kind of hurt still."
"Oh..."
"You're right. That was very random."
I laughed, and so did Riker.
I wrapped my arms and legs around Riker. He picked me up, and carried me upstairs to my bedroom. My phone buzzed, and it was a text from my mom.
"What is it? You look concerned," Riker said, staring at me.
"No. Um... My mom won't be back until tomorrow. So we're all alone. And..."
"You're scared."
"Am not!"
"Are so! I can totally tell!"
"Ok, so I'm scared. What are you going to do about it?"
"I'm going to make you pack a bag so you can stay at my house with me!"
I laughed.
"Alright. Let me text Jake and tell him what's going on."
Later...
Riker POV
"Emily is staying with Rydel, and Jake is staying in Ross and Ryland's room. Where can Taylor sleep?" I asked my mom.
My mom sighed.
"Alright, just this once, Riker... I'll let you and Taylor sleep together, mostly because Rocky will be there, and I know nothing can happen. But this is a one time thing, do you understand me?"
"Yes! Thank you so much!"
I ran up to my room after hugging my mom.
"Taylor!"
