To love is to be vulnerable.

"Turn to the right and go straight ahead." Amanda, the virtual assistant, instructed.

"Thank you, Amanda." Ashton said over the mini screen while his hands are on the steering wheel, and followed the directions.

The sun shines brightly beneath the blue skies with Ed Sheeran playing on the speakers. And Ashton was singing along and kept quiet for a moment when he heard Lily moved in her seat.

"Where are we going?" She asked bluntly, shuffling in her seat. Her eyes widen at the beautiful sight of the place.

"Somewhere far and beautiful." Ashton replied with a smile on his face, recalling what he said last night. He gave her a hint of what had happened but she seemed not to remember.

Lily was still confused but in awe at the same time of the view outside the window. Something new but familiar at the same time. There are buildings not tall enough, but good to be museums and shopping centers; Eco-parks and amusement parks.

"Wait. How did I end up here? I can't recall asking for a vacation."

Ashton chuckled and reduced the volume of the stereo. "That's the question you should ask yourself Miss Parker. Last night you asked me to take you somewhere far, and so I did."

Lily was still baffled. She rubbed her temples and her putting pieces together in her head does no good. Ashton saw it on his side.

"There's aspirin and water in the tote bag at the back."

Lily grabbed it and took the medicine.

"Gosh this head is banging badly. Did I drink a lot last night?" she asked.

"More than you can count." Ashton answered and studied her of her condition.

"You know that I was actually drunk and yet you believed my words. Classic. Very classic Petterson." she said mockingly and giggled.

Ashton made a huge turn to the left and they were silent for a moment. Lily paused for a moment and recalled the events of last night, which still stings.

"Why were you there in the first place? I was more like expecting you to stay and rest in your apartment after the last incident." Ashton asked and turned the wheel to the right.

"Girlfriend problems." Lily replied plainly. She checked her phone and saw floods of messages both from Tara and Cath. They were asking where was she or what is she up to, and that they were sorry for the ruined sleepover.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Ashton asked warily.

Lily locked her phone, leaving with no reply. She glanced at Ashton, thinking twice if she could trust him. Yes, they're friends now but there are still a lot of things they don't know about each other. Like A LOT. But it didn't bother her though; his company assures she's safe.
