Chapter 9- The Start of The Grim Reaper's Trial

(Y/N) made a pact with the Grim Reaper while in coma and faked her death as she wanted to get revenge on Aomine.

Aomine's P.O.V

"I'm sorry, we did our best."

There was a moment of silence. The grave atmosphere didn't improve with the surgeon's absence. I buried my head into my hands, deep in thoughts: Now who is left to do my homework? Now is left to run errands for me? Now who do I turn to to complain about school? Now who do I abuse every day? Now who do I use to vent my anger? Now who do I tease for being naïve and stupid? Now who is left to love?

I bolted up in shocked. Nonono I love Satsuki not that klutz. Don't be stupid Daiki, you love Momoi Satsuki, not (Y/F/N). Could (Y/N) be the reason why sparks weren't flying when Satsuki and I kissed? And now you are just being dumb. How can sparks fly when there is no gunpowder? Sigh...... no more lemon fanfictions and shoujo mangas for you Daiki. There's no way I would love (Y/N).

A few days have passed and now it's the start of another year. We have graduated from Teiko and the Generation of Miracles all gone on their separate paths, only to lead them to the same destination- Interhigh Basketball tournament.

Your P.O.V

With the help of the Grim Reaper, I managed to fool Momoi and Aomine that I am dead. I then enrolled into Too Academy . I walked into the gates of the new school, surrounded by unfamiliar faces recruiting the freshmen for clubs and sports. I continued walking deeper till I've found the basketball club. "Excuse me, I would like to be part of the club as their manager." "Eh......I'm sorry we already have a manager but if you like, you can be the assistant manager." One of the students spoke, "Sure, I don't mind." I was about to write my name in the box when I saw the name above me- Momoi. Oh so Momoi is going to be the manager? *Sigh* I just want to seek my revenge on Aomine Daiki. I don't intend to involve Momoi.

I made my way to my classroom and sat near the window in front of the class. I was not in the same class as Aomine and Momoi. Since today is the first day of school, we had to introduce ourselves. I decided to just stay the old me however I changed my surname. I was known as the quite, innocent and naïve girl again except that my new name is (Y/N/F/N). I made a lot of friends afterwards, which was surprising. "Ne~ (Y/N)-chan! Want to go shopping after school?" a girl named Megume invited. I accepted the invitation and got ready for lunch break.

I sat at the rooftop and ate my lunch. I did this on purpose as Aomine used to hang out on the rooftop every lunch break. If I am lucky, I would be able to see Aomine and he will have the biggest shock of his life. I wanted to see Aomine suffer. But what's this feeling of despair in my heart?

I was lost in thought until I heard the door to the rooftop creak open. I turned around and saw a figure standing at the doorway, motionless. And in that instant I knew who he was.
