It All Started With A Lie, A Car Crash And The Trial

Chapter 8- Operation Success, Operation Failure

"SSCREEEEEEEEECCCCHHHH!"The next thing I knew was that I rolled over the ground and was sprawled to the ground, crimson red blood gushing out from your head and wounds, the smell of blood lingering in the air. Due to the massive loss of blood, I felt lightheaded and slowly became unconscious. Despite the immense physical pain, it was like I was stuck in the scene earlier, when I witness the betrayal and the lies unraveled before my very eyes. I heard Aomine's shouts and the incessant chatter buzzing from the bystanders who now has formed a big circle around the scene. I only saw Aomine's worried-stricken face before I was greeted by the pitch black darkness.

"(Y/N)......(Y/N)...... wake up." A voice called out to me. I opened my eyes and saw something unbelievable- a grim reaper appeared before me. "(Y/N), you are in a state of coma and I will give you a second chance in life, as you are a kind soul and all." I was lost. "So lemme get this straight. I am in coma now and talking to a grim reaper. Oh okay, I get the picture now ohkay I'm fine. WAIT SAY WHAAAA???? WAIT. WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT. So you're saying that a messenger from hell whom I have always thought that was non-existent is talking to me right now? About giving me a second chance in this world? WHAT IS THIS? NONONONONONONONONO. NO. I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THIS. "Aomine, is this another trick of yours? IS "CHEATING ON YOU WITH YOUR BESTFRIEND" TRICK NOT ENOUGH TO SATISFY YOUR SADISTIC HUNGER? CAUSE THIS IS SO NOT FUNNY. COME OUT NOW!"" (Y/N) please calm down and listen to me. I'm the real deal and WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY SHINIGAMIS DON'T EXIST? LEARN YOUR PLACE HUMAN!" he sighed and continued, "And no sadly Aomine did cheat on you but that's not the point. The point is that you will be given a second life and-" "Oh thank you! Mr Grim Reaper whose name I don't know." I said without knowing that I have added sarcasm into my words. "I'm not done yet. However, it comes with a price. You will be facing a trial. Only after you have passed it then you can have your normal life back." Of course, you should have known. There is no free lunch in this world. "If you can find true love and I might consider revenge as part of the criteria, then you pass the trial." He continued, not after adjusting his spectacle frame. "The trial will be held for 6 months and by then if you succeed in passing the trial, I will return you your normal life. HOWEVER," he said dramatically, "if you failed, I will take your life back." "So are you ready to begin? If you are not then TOO BAD! Well, I will give you some time to devise a plan or if you already have one then just tell me. The duration is about 3 hours to think up a plan for 6 months. I will leave you here for 2 hours and 30 minutes; the other half of the hour will be you telling me your plan. When you are here, you can roam free and no one will hear or notice you, since you are a spirit now. Well then, please excuse me." With that, he vanished into thin air. "WAIT!" I blurted out after digesting all the information. Unfortuantely, he didn't come back. After the grim reaper was gone, the fog surrounding us disappeared. The view became clear. I saw myself lying unconscious on the operation bed, looking as hopeless as ever. Must I really get revenge? I don't want to. I believe Aomine loves me. It's a prank that he's playing on me. Maybe I did something wrong and I didn't know. I bet he's now outside the operating theatre worrying about my condition...... right? A part of me was doubtful. After what I have seen I just couldn't fully trust Aomine. However it's only a 0.01%. The other 99.9% trusted Aomine and was eager to see him so I flown out of the theatre with a hopeful smile, gliding down the hallway of the hospital, looking at the nurses walking right past me in a hurry, the doctors carrying health lockets, patients conversing with their loved ones and-

At this point of time, I was taken aback and just floated there, with my mouth gaping wide open. Why? Why? Why? My mind was filled with a multitude of questions and but could only utter the words "Why? Why? Why?" I did so much for Aomine and yet, why? Why couldn't he see that I'm the one for him? Am I not good enough? Why is he doing this? Momoi loves Kuroko and...... why? Why is she kissing him? Why? What's this? I let the tears rolled down my cheeks freely without a care and it came gushing out. "This is so funny Aomine ok I get it it's just a joke ahahahaha you've got me good now can you please stop?" "This is a joke......right?" I could no longer stop it. After all these years, after all these abuses that I've been through, I have sacrificed so much. And for whom I slog my life for? Who is the one I treasured so dearly? After today, just 6 hours ago or so, I even laid my life down for him! And why did I do that? What did I do to deserve this? Tears the size of a pearl streamed down my cheeks.All I ever wanted was Aomine's love, his true love. "Aomine, you love me right? Say you do. You do right? The necklace you gave me, the one that matches with yours, is the symbol of our love right?" Even though he could not hear me, I still asked. My mind was in an emotional whirl and my brave front was gone, now I looked like a baby lamb, ever so vulnerable. No......make it stop......no......make it stop please......make it stop......make it stop......MAKE IT STOP! I snapped. Why did he do this to me? All the tears had turned to rage. I was furious at Aomine, but I was infuriated at myself. Why can't I stop loving him? That's it, (Y/N). That's the end of the line. He overstepped the border and now it's time for him to taste his own medicine. Aomine Daiki, I will remember this. I WILL get my revenge. I stared daggers at the duo and my mind was overwhelmed with plans for my revenge which all revolve around one word- VENGEANCE.

I made full use of the 2 hour and 30 minutes devising a foolproof plan. After that I returned to the operating theatre and discussed my plans with the Grim Reaper. He gave me an approving smile and said, "Okay I'll help." When we were done, the doctors and nurses were also completed with their task. They left the theatre with heavy hearts to the deliver the grim announcement, that the operation was a failure. I look at my lifeless body lying there motionlessly. As soon as I returned to my body the grim reaper will commence the start of the trial. With once last glance, I returned back to it.

The operation was a success.
