"You don't have to say it only because I've said it," I muttered.
"I say it because I mean it," he whispered. "I'm in love with you, Chris."
My heart raced even more. Listening the words that I had been dying to hear from him made me feel both relieved and happy.
"I'm in love with you, too," I said.
"Chris," he said, smiling. "Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars."
I chuckled. "You really like that song, don't you?"
He chuckled. "I do," he admitted. "And I had always wanted to say it."
I smirked. "I had always wanted to kiss someone under the light of a thousand stars," I said.
Teddy smiled with that genuine smile of his and kissed my lips.
That was the best kiss so far.
"I know we're not really under stars, Chris, but whenever I'm with you, I feel as if we were." He smiled. "You are my stars and my moon. You are every inch of light in the dark night that my life is."
I smiled and kissed Teddy's lips once more.
"I love you," he repeated, grinning.
I felt like crying. Some tears streamed down my face, but I wiped them away.
"Gosh, Chris, you're perfect," said Teddy as he kissed my cheek and ran his hands through my hair tenderly.
"So are you."
Teddy leaned on my shoulder and whispered, "You are my number one, Chris. You always will be." He sighed. "I know you're tired of not being the number one at anything, but to me, you will always be my first choice."
I started crying.

We got home a little bit after that, and once we arrived, we made our way upstairs and entered my room. We sat on my bed and talked about how beautiful the wedding had been.
The conversation was not boring at all, but my heart started racing inside my chest, and I could not help myself any longer. All I could think of was Teddy's telling me that he loved me, and I felt this uncontrollable urge to kiss him whenever I did.
Once I saw his beautiful grey eyes lighting up, though, I just could not help kissing him. It was not a peck. It was more of a passionate kiss, and Teddy did not stop me.
I started running my hands through his chest, and I took his shirt off. Teddy helped me take my dress off, too, and soon we were almost naked.
I took my bra off, and Teddy immediately pulled away and stared at me with curiosity.
"I—I think we should..." He sighed.
"No," I muttered. "I want this."
Teddy bit his bottom lip. "A—are you sure, Chris?"
"I want this, Teddy. I want it to be with you, and I want it to be now," I said.
"Me too," he said. "But only if you are one hundred percent sure that you want to."
"I am," I said.
"And only if you won't regret this tomorrow," he said.
"I won't if you won't," I said.
"I would never regret being with you," he told me.
"I wouldn't, either," I said.
Teddy sighed. "I..."
I grinned. "Just shut up and kiss me, you fool."
He chuckled and kept kissing my lips. Then, we both took our clothes off, and we did what we had wanted to do since a lot of time.
It was very different from what I had expected, but it was somehow beautiful, like we were connected since the beginning.
"I love you," he muttered as soon as we were done. "I love you so damn much, Chris."
In that moment, I could not help remembering what Teddy had told me about wires being connected like people. And now I understood what he meant.
We fell asleep intertwined, like two wires perfectly put together. We were connected by something bigger than ourselves. We were connected by love, and love was the most powerful wire ever invented. It brought people together. It connected them. No wire ever before was able to do that.
I understood why Teddy loved wires so much because, in that moment, I loved wires, too.
I loved everything he loved, and I loved all of him.
