"True," he said. "Maybe that's why you're my girlfriend."
I poked his ribs playfully. "That was mean!"
"I'm kidding, Chris. You know you're beautiful," he said.
I blushed a little. "Thank you."
The waiter came over with our food, which was a certain type of chicken. It did not surprise me because most weddings serve chicken as their main plate.
"This chicken's good," said Teddy with his mouth full.
I nodded and swallowed. "It's actually better than most of the ones I've eaten at other weddings."
Teddy smiled. "How many weddings have you attended?"
"I don't know," I said, shrugging. "Not that many, I guess. How about you?"
"This is my first one," he admitted.
I smiled. "Then enjoy every second of it," I told him.
"That's what I'll do."
"Theo!" We turned around to see my mom standing right behind us. "How about you dance with the bride?"
"What for?" I asked, surprised.
"It is a tradition for the males from every family to dance with the bride," she said.
"Um, if you say so..." I said, not completely convinced.
Mom rolled her eyes. "What do you say, Theo?" she asked, ignoring me.
"Um, sure," he said, smiling brightly. Teddy got up from the table. "Be right back," he said.

After Teddy finished dancing with the bride, he rushed back to the table and grinned like an idiot.
"What?" I asked him, raising one of my eyebrows.
"I just had a sudden realization," he said, smiling brightly. His beautiful eyes lit up as he said it.
"Which is...?"
Teddy shook his head. "I'm not telling you here," he said.
I sighed. "Just tell me."
"Nope," he said, grinning. "It must be in private, after the wedding is over."
I rolled my eyes. "This wedding is not even close to being over," I said.
"Then you'll have to wait," he said, grinning.
I frowned. "Don't make me wait! I hate waiting!"
Teddy smiled. "I won't tell you here."
"Let's get out of here, then," I said.
Teddy grinned. "I was hoping you'd say that."
I rolled my eyes. "How are we going to convince Mom, though?"
He grimaced. "I'm not feeling so well... I think we should leave..."
I smiled. "Got you!" I exclaimed, winking.
We both got up from the table and walked towards Mom, who was in the dance floor, dancing like there was no tomorrow.
"Mom!" I yelled to be heard over the music. "Teddy's not feeling well! We're leaving!"
"Oh, okay!" she exclaimed, smirking. "Be safe, honey!"
I smiled. "Sure," I said.
I grabbed Teddy's hand, and we walked towards the place's entrance. I was about to exit the building when Teddy pointed at an empty room and poked my arm.
