Chapter 5

Its been over two weeks since the incident with Natsu, and this is the second day she's been sick. She didnt know why she was sick, but she knew she wasn't going to take any missions today, or go to the guild period.

As Natsu walked into the guild, he already knew Lucy wouldn't be there, but he'd ask anyway.

"Yo, Mira!" He said in a cheerful mood.

"Hi Natsu!" Mira said with a bright smile.

"Have you seen Lucy this morning?" Natsu asked.

Mira looked at him for a moment and then put a finger to her chin, "No, actually. I thought she might have taken a break from all of those missions."

Natsu thought for a second, "I think I'm gonna go see her." He said.

Mira looked surprised, "Are you sure?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Lucy ducked her head in the toilet bowl. It was still early in the morning and she was still throwing up. She felt awful.

She shrugged over to her bed and slowly sat criss cross on her bed. She couldn't believe it's been two weeks and she's still upset.

She sat there, just staring at her hands that where currently playing with her feet, in her lap.

Every morning for the last two days, she's been throwing up, and then for the rest of the day she was fine. Then she got to thinking.

'Sex. Two weeks. Morning sickness. And late period.' Lucy's eyes widened. "UH, no~." She said, lengthening the word no. "No, no, no, no, no! I can't be pregnant!" Lucy started to panic. But, she can't know she's pregnant for sure unless she takes a test.

Lucy jumped out of bed and ran for the door. She couldn't be pregnant. Could she?

And with that question hanging in the air, she ran to the store.

Natsu and Happy were standing in front of Lucy's apartment. They stood there, staring at her window. Then finally they climbed up and crawled through it.

Natsu braced himself for a 'Lucy Kick', but it never came. Then he took a quick look around.

"I don't think Lucy's here, Natsu." Happy stated.

"Weird. Where could she be then?"

They stood there for a second and then they heard the door open.

Lucy was walking back from the store on her way to her apartment. She clutched the baby thermometer in her hands close to her chest.

She couldn't be pregnant. She didn't want to. And Natsu, the father?

She couldn't grasp anything. Things were happening just too quickly. First her and Natsu slept together, the next day he didn't remember, and now, two weeks later, she was pregnant. Well, might be pregnant. She didn't know that for sure.

Before she knew it, she was standing in front of her apartment, headed up the stairs, and through the door. She walked inside staring at the baby thermometer intensely.

"Lushiii!!!" She heard Happy say and she quickly hid the object of interest behind her back. Her stomach was turning because she knew if Happy was here, Natsu was too.

Then Natsu came from behind a corner, "Lucy!" He exclaimed.

Lucy started to get a little nervous, "What are you doing here?" She said, a little more bitterly than expected.

"U-uh, you weren't at the guild today so I thought we'd come visit and see how you were." Natsu said nervously.

Lucy sighed, "I'm fine, just a little, um, sick." She said calmly.

"We've missed you Lucy." Happy said sadly. "We don't ever go on missions together anymore."

Lucy's look softened. It's true though. None of them have gone on a mission together for almost three weeks now. But Lucy didn't say anything to Happy's statement.

"I'm a little busy right now." Lucy said as she stood up, "Can you guys come back later?" She asked.

A moment of silence.

"Sure." Natsu said blankly, but with confusion was shown on his face.

Lucy escorted them to the door and when they were out she shut the door and pulled out the pregnancy test. She stared at it like it was something dangerous.

She went to the bathroom to take the test.

Natsu and Happy were walking from Lucy's apartment back to the guild.

"Do you think Lucy's been acting weird lately?" Happy asked Natsu.

"Yeah, she's just been...distant, lately." Natsu said with his hands in his pocket.

"Maybe we can ask her to on a job with us tomorrow!" Happy said hopefully.

"Yeah, maybe."

Lucy stared in horror as she examined the finished pregnancy test. It was official.

She was pregnant.

How was she going to tell everyone? I mean, she couldn't hide it. They'd all find out eventually.

After battling out the idea's of how to tell the guild, she finally decided to just tell them. No matter who it miht hurt.

She gathered all of her courage and walked out of her apartment to break the news to her fellow guild mates. When she was only a few yards away from her home, and unknown man came up from behind her. "Stop." The man said, "And if you turn around, you'll be dead before you can even blink."

Lucy was terrified now. She didn't know what was happening. She tried to reach for her whip, but was stopped by the man when her he put her arm behind her back and pulled her hair. "Ah!" She squeaked.

The man pulled her head closer so he could whisper in her ear, "I want you to leave Fairy Tail." He said and Lucy's eyes widened. "If you don't leave, then I'll kill you and your guild. If you tell anyone you're leaving, the same thing will happen. I'll give you three days to say goodbye." And with that the man was gone. Lucy was left shocked. He was there and was just.... Not.
