"And how old are you, Willow?" Dr. Coles asks her, trying to make conversation.

I don't know why she's being so shy because she usually isn't, especially around strangers.

She brings her head up, "I'm 5."

Dr. Coles smiles, "That's right. Well, Katniss, I don't think that it would be because of your age. What age was your mother when she had you?"

I shrug, "Probably like 22 or something. I'm not sure."

"Do you have any other siblings?"

I sigh, rolling my eyes.

"My sister was born seven years later."

Willow looks up and frowns.

"Okay, well, Katniss I need to do some blood work on you and we will see if my test picks anything up."

I nod, "Okay." I say, cringing.

"They're gonna poke her and make you bleed?" Willow asks Dr. Coles.

"Yeah, but it'll only bleed a little bit." She says.

"I cry when I get shots." Willow says with wide eyes.

"It's not fun but I know how tough you are." She tells her.

Willow has defiantly been strong since before she was born.

All these needles-we meet again.

"Does that hurt you, Mommy?" Willow asks me as a nurse pokes and prods me several times, sampling my blood.

"No." I lie.

I actually hate needles but whatever.

"It don't make you want to cry?" She asks.

I chuckle a little, happy to have her as a distraction from the pain.

They finally get done with that and Dr. Coles comes back in to talk about some things with me.

"We are gonna lab those samples and I'll get back to you in a few days. I want you to start prenatal vitamins again and also a healthy diet and hydration. Keep trying until then, but don't overdo it." She instructs.

"I started taking those vitamins again, the day after we decided to try again and I've been trying to keep a good diet and stuff." I tell her.

Peeta and I want absolutely no problems this time around, for me or the baby.

She smiles and pats my back, "You really want it this time, don't you?"

"It's not that I didn't want the first one. We both wanted it and we want this one and so does she. We're all on the same page this time." I tell her. Kind of annoyed even to this day she didn't really believe how much I wanted Willow.

"That's good. Well, we will get it all figured out soon."

I nod and Willow follows me out.

"I'll see you later, Willow." Dr. Coles says and Willow smiles shyly and waves.

We go to the pharmacy and I pick up a handful of more pregnancy tests, some more prenatal vitamins and Willow some things too.

"What are those stick things like in that box?" She's asks me, pointing to a pregnancy test.

"Its for me." I say simply and she shrugs her shoulders, not asking anymore question.

We go to the checkout and the checker gives me a look. Even 5 years later the look people give someone buying a pregnancy test doesn't change. I just want to shove my rings in their faces to show them that I'm married.

"Momma, that lady gave you a funny look when you bought all those boxes." Willow tells me as we walk out of the store.

I roll my eyes, "I know. It's okay."

We go home and wait for Peeta to get home from work.

I hold Willow in my lap, my arms wrapped around her and my chin resting on the top of her head. She holds my hand and we watch some tv.

A commercial comes on and she sighs, "Mommy, I love when you hold me like this." She tells me.

It's one of the sweetest things she's ever told me.

"Well, I love holding you like this too. You get to be my cuddle buddy when Daddy isn't here." I tell her.

She looks up at me and smiles a little, "Am I good at making you happy like Daddy is?" She asks me.

"Yes, ma'am. You and Daddy are really good at making me happy." I tell her truthfully.

"Even when we make you real mad?" She asks.

I laugh a little, "Yes. Even when you make me mad." I say.

She lets out a little giggle, "I love you."

"I love you too." I say and kiss the top of her brown head.

She snuggles up closer to me and she's out like a light.

She must've been tired because she doesn't usually do that.

Peeta walks in a bit later, while I'm half asleep.

"Hey girls-oh." Peeta says walking in and realizing we both seem to be asleep.

I open my heavy eyes and turn my head, "I'm awake... Kind of." I say and Peeta comes around. He gently sits down next to me.

"She looks tired. And so do you." He smiles.

"I think she was and I am too."

He nods, "How did your appointment go?"

I sigh, "We didn't really find anything out. They just took my blood mostly."

Peeta frowns and shrugs his shoulders, "Hopefully it says your pregnant."

"Maybe. I hope so too. It worked for us last time. But just in case, I bought more tests." I say nodding towards the bag on the coffee table full of them.

"Well, you just take it easy. If you want I can take her upstairs and we can go take a nap together?"

I shake my head.

"As much as I would love that, I want to stay here. She was telling me earlier how much she loves when I get to hold her like this and it almost melted my heart." I say making a pouty face.

Peeta makes one too, "Well, that's really sweet."

"I'm sorry." I smile tiredly.

"It's alright. I can go get some things done around the house. Do you want a blanket?" He asks.

I nod, "Sure."

He grabs a blanket and carefully lays it over Willow and I and then pecks my lip, "I love you."

I smile, my eyes almost completely closed, "I love you too." I say and I fall asleep.

***Lol the last few chapters end with someone falling asleep😂😂 oops happy Veterans Day as well 🇺🇸❤️
