Words For When I Go

In a sense I have seen my last sunset.

Do not grow sad in the thought.

I let go of beholding them,

To grab something greater.

Now, I am within the glow that falls upon you.

I have become a shade of gold,

I hide between the colors.

The sandman called me home.

Do not consider this a loss.

I've simply turned to sand,

I fall upon your sleepy eyes,

I carry you to your dreams

The world which seemed so vast,

Too grand for me to seize.

Has turned out all its secrets,

Now I ride its winds and see them all.

I have not left,

I found a way to surround you.

As an ever present sigh within the air.

Please do not weep,

When you sense me passing by

You will see me in the dawn,

You will feel me in the rain,

And when you become a whisper

I shall meet you at the gate.
