Chapter 30 - Shock Wave

Start from the beginning

"And I think sometime in the near future I'm going back to Dubai to see Harvey and Donna, maybe stop and see Talina in South Africa" I said,

"I guess I can go home, but also whatever Arii wants to do. She's got college to finish and friends in England and America"

"I vote, we stay here for a month and chill out and then we have a chat and see what the hell is going on. We have homes in many different countries, I don't think we're ever going to settle down in one place forever"

"Amen to that brother" Noah said.

"Boys, come up here, Mummy's made some crazy chocolate Nutella brownies with marshmallows, I think I'm hyper already" Arii hollered,

"Hyperness here I come" Noah called, jumping up and running back to the house,

"This is going to be a long night" I said, as Tayte pulled me up and wrapped an arm around me to get me back to the decking, since crutches didn't mix well and it wasn't too far away. I slumped down on the sofa, Noah handed me a brownie,

"Thanks buddy" I said, he grinned,

"Leg okay? Do you need anything?" Mum asked,

"No, I'm good thanks"

"Eat, these are so good" Arii said,

"I'm eating" I said taking a bite, "Oh these are good Mum"

"We thought about going out for dinner tomorrow" Dad said,

"Yeah sounds good" I replied, "As long as it's not too far to walk, you'd think my body would've got used to crutches by now, but they really haven't"

"You don't have to worry Keane, we'll make sure you're comfortable and treated well" Dad answered,

"Not to dressy, it's hard to dress up with a whacking big red cast on your leg" Dad laughed,

   "No, casual wear"

"We have a deal then"

"Why can't I have another one?" Noah moaned,

"Tayte how many's he eaten in the space of 5 minutes?" I asked,

"4"

"And Arii, she stopped on 3, she's gone inside with your Mum, I say gone inside, she ran off giggling"

"Oh. Noah, no more for you"

"Too late" he said, stuffing his 5th brownie in his mouth and dashing off onto the beach, "Catch me if you can"

"I'll get him, you boys head in" Dad said,

"Good luck with that Dad"

"I'm a trained agent, I can handle my 20 year old son"

"Whatever you say," we headed inside and Dad headed onto the beach, we met Mum in the kitchen, "Dad's chasing after Noah, who's eaten 5 of your brownies and ran onto the beach"

"Oh dear, maybe that wasn't the best idea"

"Mum, they're 20 and 17 year old, not little kids, they can handle a bit of sugar"

"Where is Arii?" Tayte asked,

"In the shower, thinking she's auditioning for X factor" She answered, we laughed.

We found her crashed out on the bed hidden under the duvet, peacefully sleeping like a baby, we both chuckled,

"Sometimes I wonder whether our birth certificates were altered at birth or that Mum completely lied about when we were born" I said,
