Different ages
Background,
Families,
Even histories
But the one thing
That trumps all
Is being
Kindred spirits
I know I'm an old soul
On my last life
Who knew I'd find
Someone as old as I?
Cosmically connected
Sharing thoughts
On higher plains
The galaxy is our playground
My kindred spirit
Is a woman
Who has lived longer
Experienced more
Isn't related to me
And yet
Speaks my language
The language of the spirit guide
Maybe
Just maybe
I can heal through her
If my spirit heals
Who needs doctors?
Kindred spirits
Life is looked upon
In a kaleidoscope of colors
People are on a lower plane
Gray instead of bright
Who knew
Not me
Did she
Really?
For the first time
In many a year
Do I feel peaceful
Even if it is for a little while
Thank you
Kindred spirit
For the hope
To live
To survive
To continue the fight
