Chapter 29 - Killer Instinct

Keane's POV

Did I really want to answer this call? Hell no, Tayte had royally screwed with my head and it so wasn't funny. I feel, I don't know how I feel to be honest, I knew Tayte had clocked who the caller was, he could probably tell from my facial expression,

"Hello

Hey Keane. How are you?

Been better

Did you get to Church Bay okay?

Not exactly, currently on route there in a squad car

Why? What happened? I'm sorry...

2 dead bodies and fucked up relationship is what happened" I said, Tayte looked at me in the rear view mirror, I also noticed the police officer glance at me, "Sorry," he just smiled,

"Is this a bad time? Do you want me to call you again? I just...

Probably best

I'm sorry it ended the way it did...I didn't mean...

Tammara, please not now okay. It's not you, my heads is just screwed at the moment. I'll speak to you soon, when everything's settled down" and I hung up the phone,

"I love you Keane," Noah said, I smiled,

"Love you too buddy"

The car fell silent after that, the only noise was coming from the radio, or short answered questions from my mouth in response to the police officer. So safe to say I was very thankful when we arrived after a very tense 45 minutes in the car. We thanked the police officer and waited for him to depart before we looked up and down the road, there were some pretty elegant houses to say the least. We were right by the coast too, so it was a perfect spot.

"Which way?" Arii asked,

"No clue" I answered "And I don't think I can be bothered to walk around for ages on these crutches to try and find the right house so..."

"You wait here, Arii and I will go and explore" Noah said, giving me the 'you two better sort your shit out' look, then grabbed Arii's hand and dragged her away before she could even protest. I lowered myself down with my crutches so that I was sat on the pavement. Tayte came over and sat next to me,

"I fucked up Keane, I hurt your feelings, I lost you as a friend, I lost you as a brother..."

"You haven't lost me as a friend or as a brother" I said,

"But I hurt your feelings"

"No, you just messed with them"

"I'm not going to take it back" He told me, I smiled,

"Good"

"Keane we've always joked about us being gay for each other and..."

"Forget about it Tayte. I'm always going to love you, no matter what. Make my baby sister happy," I went to get up, he put his hand on mine,

"Don't do that, just tell me the truth"

"You first" I answered,

"I've always loved you Keane, as a brother and then it got to a point where I knew that I never wanted to leave your life, ever since then, I've been playing the 'we're secretly gay for each other' card when I knew that it was no secret"

"I've loved you like my brother, from the day we first met what 20 years ago. You will and have always been my best friend and no matter what happens in the future, that will never change, trust me," I leant in, "I love you" I whispered and then kissed him, in which he immediately kissed back,

"I love you too"

Noah's POV

I saw Keane and Tayte kissing and a smile involuntarily pulled onto my face. They were lucky Arii wasn't paying attention,

"We found it" I then shouted, causing them to jump and make the space between them bigger than it was.

"Is it far away?" Keane asked, we headed over, I smiled at them both, "What?"

"It's about 10 minutes, we raced back" Arii said, "It's really nice, right on the beach too"

"Lead the way" Keane said, as Tayte helped him up,

"I'll walk with you Keane" I said, handing him his crutches, Tayte shrugged an okay and took Arii's hand as they headed on in front,

"So, spill, did you make up? Well I know you did from that kiss. Are you a couple now? What's happening?"

"You're like a little kid at a candy shop Noah" He told me, "Nothing happened except the kiss. I told him to make Arii happy"

"And that was it? That's all you said, you gave away your happiness because he's not man enough to..."

"Noah" He interrupted, "I'd rather live a life of misery if it means that Arii will be happy and that goes for you too"

"It's not fair. I love Arii to bits, but..."

"He loves me Noah and he will always love me. We don't know what the future holds, but right now, it's Arii and I am fine with that"

"You are incredible, you honestly do amaze me every single day. Shit Keane, you deserve every brother of the year awards, you deserve an Oscar, an Emmy, the Nobel Peace prize, a BAFTA, you should be knighted, you should..." He was looking at me, "Okay, I'll stop, you get the idea"

"Love you too kiddo" He told me,

"But if he hurts you I will hurt him, in ways he didn't think possible. I may look like a softy but I can and will kill him" he laughed,

"Thanks buddy, I appreciate that, but he won't ever hurt me"

"Here it is" Arii said, as we all came to a stop outside a massive house. It had a giant gate stopping us from getting into the property and what looked like a long walk up the drive. I eagerly pressed the button to speak to someone in the house to let us in, though as soon as my finger touched the call button, the gates opened. Someone obviously new we were here. They swung open and we walked in, there was nothing but the sound of Keane's crutches connecting with the butt of the concrete making a cracking noise as we walked up to the house. I went up and rang the large doorbell, we heard it echo throughout the house, it was loud enough to wake the dead.

As it opened, my head suddenly had a thought what if,

"No way..."
