Zay's POV:
"You know what Maya? Maybe we weren't meant to be together in the first place. Maybe we are just too different," Lucas says with anger in his face. There are tears in Maya's eyes threatening to spill over. "You're all fire and never calm, you never think; you are broken beyond repair and you aren't very smart at anything other than how to do wrong. What is wrong with you?"
"I'm trying Lucas, I really am, I-" Maya starts but Lucas cuts her off.
"Well try harder. Try harder or we're done." I see a tear roll down Maya's face before her head drops and she walks away. Lucas was still standing there, fuming. Riley follows her and Farkle looks at me.
"What the heck, Lucas?" I ask walking up to him.
"What is wrong with you?" Farkle asks.
"It's not me, it's Maya," he says blowing us off and sitting down on the bench.
"Lucas, Maya didn't do anything. She just wanted to spend some time with you alone, unlike the rest of us right now," I tell him as he tries to push me away.
"She's just needy and whiny," he says waving his hand in my face.
"No Lucas. She's perfect, and you need to wrap your head around that fact before someone else comes and sweeps her off her feet. You have treated her like dirt and I won't talk to you until you fix it," I say.
"Me either. You are a horrible boyfriend Friar. If you can even still consider yourself one," Farkle adds. With that we walk away and try to find Maya and Riley. Maybe will can still salvage her birthday.

"Maya, I'm so sorry that jerk hurt you. On today nonetheless," I say wrapping my arm around her shoulders.
"Thanks Zay, but I don't want to think about him right now," she says laying her head on my chest.
"Do you guys want to watch a movie? We can watch Cinderella. I know it's your favorite," Riley says.
"Thank you Riley, that sounds lovely," she says switching to lean on Riley. Farkle puts the disc in and wraps his arm around the two girls while I do the same. He leans over the back of the couch and looks at me.
'Lucas isn't getting to her for a while,' he mouths at me and I nod in agreement. He hurt her, I won't let it happen again.
~
Farkle had just laid a blanket over the two sleeping girls when we heard a knock on the door. I got up and opened it as Farkle sat back down. I open the door and Lucas is there with red rimmed eyes swamped by tears and heavily breathing. "Please, I have to see her," he says as more tears fall down his face.
"No Lucas. Are you crazy? You hurt her more than you should have and now you're paying for it," I say. I turn around and Farkle nods. "You have to leave now. Don't bother coming back," I say closing the door.
