How did I end up like this?

I can get used to these kinds of days

Lauren's pov

Kevin went inside and 2 seconds after he kissed my cheek, mom came.

Mom: Hello.
Kevin: Hello. Nice to meet you Mrs. Cimorelli.
Mom: Oh, call me Lynne.
Kevin: I will.

This was awkward....

Lauren: Well... Let's go upstairs.
Mom: Are you embarrassed of me?
Lauren: Kind of... Let's go.

Mom laughed. She told Kevin he's always welcome here and he thanked her. Could this be more awkward?!

We went upstairs. I showed him my room and he liked it.

Lauren: So anything specific you wanna do?
Kevin: The only thing I wanna do is spend time with you. I don't care what we do. You can choose.
Lauren: Okay... Before we do anything, I need to talk to you.

Kevin was confused. I sat down on my bed next to him.

Lauren: Look... I don't know how to say this without making it awkward. But, I wanna know if we're a couple or not...?

He didn't say anything yet, he just glared at me. I knew this would be awkward!

Kevin: What do you mean?
Lauren: Well, we've been to a couple of dates and we've kissed... So where are we?

Kevin didn't say anything again. Then he began:

Kevin: Look, Lauren. I've never had a real girlfriend before. I hope you understand that. You won't find a worse relationship expert than me. But what I want, is you. I want you as a girlfriend. I really like you. A lot. But the question is, where are you? I wanna be a couple, but do you?
Lauren: Yeah.
Kevin: Good. Now we know where we stand.
Lauren: So are we.. a couple?
Kevin: Why not? I mean, we both want to right?
Lauren: Yeah.

I was relieved. I thought he was one of those guys who just want a girl to date and nothing else.

Then, he kissed me. On the mouth. Not on the cheek. Like he did when he arrived here. What.

After he had pulled himself away from me, he took his jacket and shoes off, and we decided to watch Netflix in my laptop. We crawled in the bed and cuddled.

I don't know for how long we just watched TV-shows, but I guess for too long.

Mom had totally respected that we wanted privacy and she didn't walk in my room. But Dani was still an immature child and didn't understand the principals of knocking the door. So she just walked inside, uninvited. I was shocked and shut the laptop. Kevin had his arm around me, but he removed it quickly when she walked inside.

Dani: Oh what is going on in here?
Lauren: Dani get out!
Dani: Chill. Mom asked me if you two were joining dinner?
Lauren: No get out!

I screamed and threw a pillow at her. She couldn't stop laughing.

Dani: Fine I'm out.

Then she walked outside laughing her butt off.

Kevin: Why don't you wanna eat dinner?
Lauren: I do. But I thought you didn't want to.
Kevin: I'd love to.

I yelled at Dani to come back inside.

Dani: What?

Dani said with frustration in her voice.

Lauren: We are gonna eat.
