Previously: Eren and Levi have been dating steadily for a couple months now. It is getting closer to Christmas and also Levi's birthday.

•••

It is a chilly day in December, Levi and I are walking hand in hand to a café not too far from my house. He is dressed in a heavy coat and his face is snuggled into his scarf, the cold is causing his pale face to have a tinge of pink. We walk inside the café and I order for us and we sit on stools facing the window.
Once our orders are done I grab them and bring them back. He thanks me when I hand his to him. We sit and drink in a comfortable silence.

"Hey Levi what are you doing for Christmas and your birthday?" I ask.

"Nothing in peticular," he says.

"But it's your birthday and Christmas! That makes it even more special."

"Not really," he says staring out the window, sipping his drink.

"I don't think my parents will be home for Christmas, I think Mikasa would be cool with it if you spent Christmas with us if you want," I offer.

He thought about this for a minute. "If your fine me coming being there."

"Of course, I wouldn't offer if I wasn't sure, besides why wouldn't I be. Everyone deserves to be around people who love them on their birthday and especially Christmas."

He flinches slightly, did something I say bother him? He put his drink down and I could see him thinking hard about something. I put my hand on his shoulder, then start rubbing his back.

"Is something wrong?" I ask concerned.

He looks at me with the same look he always has but his eyes seem tell me he is processing emotions he isn't used to.

"You... love me?" He says so quietly I almost couldn't hear him.

Love him? That's a loaded question, I mean we've been dating for awhile and I think I do love him. I haven't said it yet because I figured it would probably be important to Levi. Based on how he's acting now I guess I'm right. But if I don't tell him now he may doubt me and I don't ever want him to.

"Yeah, of course I do," I say smiling at him.

He looks down at his hands and tenses up. I continue to rub his back.

"Hey, I'm serious. You are the best boyfriend anyone could ever ask for, you don't express emotion very often but I can tell you care. You are awesome at everything you do and you are so freaking beautiful I could watch you all day, obviously not in a creepy way though. I love your silver-grey eyes, I love how your eyebrows scrunch together when you see a mess and I love how, despite being irritated by your friends you are nonetheless loyal to them," I take his one of his hands with my other hand.

"I love you Levi."

He looks at me in shock. Then he looks back down with a mixture of embarrassment and guilt. I see this and pull him into a hug.

"You don't have to say it back, I know you care about me and that's all that matters. Someday you'll be able to say it and I'll wait patiently and I won't ever leave you or stop loving you."

I pull back from the hug and lift his chin up looking him in the eyes.

"That's a promise."

His face is pink again, this time not from the cold. He looks like he wants to say something but can't find the words. I lean over and kiss him, he kisses back almost immediately, poring the emotion he is feeling into the kiss.

We break this kiss quickly, realizing we're in public. We continue sipping our drinks, this time with our hands intertwined. I look over at him and despite having the same expression he always wore he seemed content, even happy.

"So Levi what do you want for Christmas and/or your birthday?" I ask.

He looks at me, then shrugs. "Nothing."

"Oh c'mon, I'm gonna get you something anyway so help me out."

"I don't want anything."

"If you don't tell me anything I'll be forced to go to Hanji and you know what her suggestions are like," I threaten.

He rolls his eyes at this. "Books are fine," he says as we get up to leave.

"Awe but that's boring," I say.

He doesn't respond but looks at me with an "are you serious, brat" look. Something he says to me a lot. We walk back to my house, it's Friday so Levi decided to stay over, Mikasa is staying over at Annie's. She has been hanging out with her, Bertolt and Reiner more often recently. Not that it's bad, I'm glad she has her own friends and is less attached to me.

"I found this Anime that sounds cool and it's on Netflix, do you want to try it?" I offer.

"Sure, what is it called?" He asks.

"K."

"K?"

"K."

He gives another "are you kidding me" glare.

"K or K project," I say, grinning.

"Alright then."

I find it and then ask.

"Dub or sub?" I ask.

"Do you really need to ask."

And he claims he isn't that into Anime. I start the first episode and we eventually shift positions to where he is laying on me and I'm playing with his hair. I really like the show the art style is really pretty and the characters seem interesting so far. The episode ends and I look at Levi.

"What did you think?" I ask him.

"It was nice, the art style is different, I like it," he responds.

"I thought the same thing!" I say excitedly.

He nods. "Shiro is cute."

"Hey!" I say in mock offense, he does this a lot just to tease me but they're some of my favorite moments.

He looks up at me and I make a pouty face. He reaches up and pokes my nose. I scrunch my face up and he just stares, studying my face.

"What?" I ask.

"No, your definitely cuter," he says.
I grin and turn him over to face me. I wrap my arms around his waist and say.

"You know that's right."

He rolls his eyes at me. I give a quick peck on the lips and we return back to our previous position.

"Do you want to watch the next episode?" I ask.

"Sure," he says.

Before I start the episode he speaks up again.

"You know I'll like anything you get me, right?"

Awe he's worried about me, he probably thinks I'm going to stress too much over it. I don't get stressed out that badly, do I?

"I know," I say smiling down at him.

He snuggles closer to me, I keep my arms wrapped around him and start the next episode.
