"Your kidding," said Kayla looking at me weirdly.
"Why should I be kidding? Honestly, take it" I said
"Seriously?" said Joe moving away.
"Sure, why are you looking at me so funny," I said.
"You've been shut up here for to long girl. You know this is meat," said Kayla.
"Yeh, It's slave meat so what?" I said.
"Oh my god. Two packets of mint in packet Beef and ... ooh parc fish flavoured Soylent green. This is new do you know how rare this is?" said Joe his eyes light up.
"Do you want it now? I'll find a bowl or something" I said still not following the conversation.
"Open them? Seriously ? Do you really done know what you can use this for?" said Joe waving the packet.
"Eating was my first guess, I think eating it comes in some were. If you want to rub it on I'm OK with it as long as I don't have to watch. No? Maybe you should fill me in" I said. I had always thought that it was the kind of mechanically reclaimed meat they couldn't put in burgers.
"Slave's use packets of Soylent green for the closest thing to money. For two unopened within sell by date packets in good condition like this, I could get someone else to go into a KCK machine for me for a week for me. OH SHIT!" said Joe turning to Kayla and getting stung by his collar PG13 censor.
Joe turned to Kayla in excitement.
"You know you said I should get us together. You said I should figure out a way we can be together. I have it, I kucf-ing have it. All our dreams baby, all our dreams every last one. I can do it, we can do it" he said waving the packet.
"Jenny I would kiss you but it would hurt to much!" said Joe excitedly.
Wow, this is what Joe looked like happy. His breasts heaved in excitement.
Joe raised his hand at Kayla. He held his hand out open and flat out like he was holding it against invisible glass. Kayla held out her hand a centimetre ( sorry half an inch the machines are getting to me ) away mirroring his gesture. Joe held his hand so close to her palm she could feel the warmth of his hand. They so didn't want the house PRISM unit to know they were being intimate.
"Kayla Brown, I promise by the old gods and the new, one day I'm going to hold you in my arms or die trying" said Joe.
Kayla paused "That's probably the cheesiest thing anyone has ever said to me" she said "and it's the most wonderful".
I could hear Kayla's voice cracking up at the end. I admit I was a little tearful as well.
Kayla turned to me.
