I like to write books which can't be filmed. Something unique to the written word.

I like books which defy expectations like Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Currently a big fan of Empowered by Adam Warren and the Watchmen. Game of Thrones ( the books - but the TV epic is getting better). Anything from the pen of Shirow Masamune.
