A New Beginning

Well its been a few weeks now since the Diamonds arrived. The year is pretty much half way through though. And I say this because it's going to be Halloween in a couple of days which basically Christmas is here. Siroursly, I go to the store and there are Santa's EVERYWHERE!!! I mean I kinda feel bad for thanksgivin, I mean everyone celebrates it for the food it seems like. Anyway, there is a huge party that our school is holding for Halloween. There is going to be a hunted house in one of the school wings, a dance in the main gym, and there is a pep rally after. Of course me. Sapphire, Rose and Greg are all going together. So each of us has a ticket and everything was going smoothly until, as I feared, the Diamonds happened. My mom had dropped both Sapphire and I at the school. "Now, both of you stay on campus you hear?" My mother said as we got out of the car. "Okay mom, love you!" I said as I closed the door and drove off. We were dressed as Mickey and Minnie mouse, Sapph as Minnie and me as Mickey. We looked super cute if I do say so myself. We walked into the courtyard were we found Greg and Rose dressed as 80's Rockstars which was super cute. "Hey guys!" I said waving at them. They noticed us and smiled Rose and sapphire hugged each other complementing each others costumes. "Was up rubbes?" Greg said to me as I jumped up to sit on the wall surrounding the courtyard. "Nothing much...y'all want to go through the hunted house?" I asked as they all looked up at me. Rose smiling real big "Yeah!!" She said holding on to Greg's arm. She smiled. saw sapph tense a little. I jumped down and walked over to her. "You don't have to g-"I started "NO...n-no it's fine I'll be fine.......let's go..." She said fallowing Greg and Rose to the A wing were the hunted house was. We were in line and I was holding Sapphire's hand, her hand was really clammy. She was scared I could tell. I leaned to her. "Hey....you don't have to go...no one is making you go...I can wait out here with you if you want..." I told her. "No....I-i want to go...." She tells me. I sigh a bit and kiss her forehead. "Okay....I'll be right here the whole time holding your hand....I promise." I told her. I feel her relax and she leans in to peck my lips. I smile. Be fore we knew it it was the two of us going through it. It was TERRIFYING! We had to walk through the teachers offices which doors were slamming and we had to go up stairs to the second floor where the lockers were busting open and were had to go into a classroom. Sapphire was terrifed. She was holding on to me and I was squeezing her hand to let her know that I'm here. When we were in the classroom we had to watch a video of a guy "hanging himself" which scared the crap out of me and we were chased down the stairs and out of the wing. When we got out Greg and Rose were waiting for us. My heart was racing. Sapphire had started crying just from being scared. I felt so bad. I never should have let her go with me. We sat down and I held her as she was catching her breath. "I'm sorry. We shouldn't have gone." I told her. "No it's all right...this is just a normal reaction to being scared. I cry when I watch scary movies" She giggled. Good she was feeling better. "But thank you for never letting go of my hand" sh said as we kissed. The rest of the night was fun. We danced and ate and we had a great time. Greg and Rose left early so Sapph and I were sitting by a tree in the courtyard when I asked her something that I wondered from when I first met her. "Sapphire..." I said "Yes love?" She replied leaning on my shoulder holding my hand. I turn yo looked at her straight on "...why do you always have your bangs in your face? I'm just curious" I asked. Her breath hitched as she sat up. "Well if I show you.....you promise to stay" She said as I nodded. She sighed and lifted her bangs to reveal her eyes. Her left eye was a milky shad of white while her other was a beautiful blue. I opened my mouth to ask what happened when Sapphire cut me off. "I was born blind in my left eye...so my eye has no color....I'm getting contacts later this month to give it the same look as my other even if I can't see through it....." I opened my mouth again to speak when she cut me off again "I know it's gross....you can leave me if you want...I know I'm ug-" I grabbed her hands and looked her straight in the eyes. "Don't ever say you are ugly. You are such a beautiful girl....that is why I'm here. I would love you if both eyes were intact or not. You are the same sapphy that I know and love." I loved her and I couldn't stand how she views herself. She teared up. "...y-you really think I'm pretty?" She asks as I nod. She smiles and kisses me. We stay like that and it ended up kinda being a small make out session. That was a first. Everything was perfect that day but little did I know then that by next Monday, both of ours world's would crumble from the work of a diamond.
