"I'm okay, that was...intense, but it's okay. I'm good now," Keane pulled me into his arms for a hug, "Now you know how I feel"
"Not funny" He said. Angelo, after full frontal snogging me checked me over. It turned out that I'd had a headache known as the 'ice pick', which is exactly how it felt to me. They cause severe pain in the head that lasts between 5 and 30 seconds, people who suffer from migraines tended to get them. This worried me, considering I'd never suffered from a migraine in all of my 20 years of existence. Angelo however assured me that it was nothing to worry about, I on the other hand wasn't so sure, things that happen suddenly and out of nowhere usually tended to be serious, but I'll take his word and remember that if I collapse in the near future due to a brain aneurysm or something like that, I'll blame him. (After all, it wasn't that long ago I cracked my skull and had tissue damage)
Safe to say though, that there were no other problems or occurrences from leaving Ricardo's and Carlita's, to getting to Rio De Janeiro Airport and meeting Tammara. We'd also picked up Keane's crutches, so he wasn't at all pleased. Due to the flying visit, we were unable to pick up a new boot for Keane, so we were all make do and mending. Not that Keane's leg was high in his list of priorities. We were just making our way to the first class lounge, tickets booked, curtsy of Tammara, when over the tannoy, these words were spoken:
"Keane Joey Linkoln, as soon as you..." They stopped and we heard, "I'm not going to read that..."
"Read it or die"
"Keane Joey Linkoln, as soon as you step foot off the plane in London Heathrow, a sniper is going to take you out and if you do not leave the plane then it will be blown up, with whoever is left on there with you. That's what you get for crossing me," we all looked at Keane,
Major terrorist, I thought, before I said,
"Is there something you need to tell us?"
"Except for, don't cry at my funeral. No" He answered, "Don't follow me, I'm going for a piss" and he threw his crutches down and headed off, so by saying 'don't follow me' he knew that none of us were going to listen to that,
"Can I go?" Tammara asked, I looked at Tayte,
"You can try" he answered, she nodded and headed off into the men's toilets. I knew the task ahead was going to be much harder than first thought. Honestly, I swear we were murderers in our past life, to have this sort of luck.
I just hoped that the airport took that as a serious terrorist threat and warned London Heathrow and got actions put in place. I wonder if they even caught the person who threatened the poor innocent guy in front of millions, okay thousands of people in the airport that if he didn't read it, he'd kill him.
One word: Screwed!
Tammara's POV
I can't imagine what Keane or his family have gone through, but I can relate a little. It's been me and my Dad for as long as I can remember. My Mum died of leukaemia when I was 4, Dad bought me up and we were together for 9 years, being an only child it was me and Dad against the world. Until I turned 13 and he sent me to boarding school whilst he joined the agency. At 16 he told me everything and then I was doing odd jobs for him, a bit of undercover work, since I wasn't affiliated to anyone, meant no one knew who I was, therefore I could sneak around and get information without being suspected. I'm now 21 years old and have no idea what I'm going to do with my life.
"Keane" I said softly,
"I told no one to follow me, why doesn't anyone ever listen?"
"I've never been any good at doing what I was told" I replied, he turned around,
"Look really, I'm not meaning to be rude, but I just want to be left alone okay"
"No can do, not before you explain what the hell you did to cause this"
"I was born" he retorted,
"Don't say that" I told him,
"Everyone's better off without me" he said,
"It seems I have my work cut out"
"Don't worry, as soon as we make it to England and the memory stick is in safe hands, we'll be out of your way. I'll be out of your way, unless I'm dead of course"
"And you really think I want that?"
"Please just go away"
"You know I'll sort this out," he didn't reply "A lot of people love and care about you Keane, including me," I left soon after,
"No such luck?" Noah asked,
"Nah, he's being a stubborn ass. I think he's not, physically okay"
"What do you mean?" Arii said,
"He's a walking time bomb"
"We don't need to hear it, we already know" Tayte snapped. Those two sure were close.
"I'm not trying to tell you how to deal with him and I'm not trying to butt into this family okay"
"Then don't" Tayte snapped, storming off into the toilets,
"Sorry, it's just been hard" Angelo said, "We've all been through a lot"
"I know. Believe me I know"
Keane's POV
I felt sick. I felt physically and mentally sick.
What the hell had I gone and done?
Put my family's life on the line...Again!
I was just lifting my t-shirt up when Tayte walked in,
"You better get that patched up again before it gets infected," he said, I ignored him, "The no speaking doesn't bother me Keane and you know that"
"This is it Tayte. I honestly can't do this anymore. I'm done"
"You're not done, we're almost through it Keane. I can feel it. Forget what was said, we'll deal with it when we need to, when we land"
"It'll be too late then. They might not even let me on the plane"
"Then we'll get a helicopter, a train, a bus, but we'll do it together. He might even be bluffing"
"Always there to say the right thing aren't you" I said, he winked,
"Don't you forget it"
